    Holt or Chopra???

ok, so Holt's a half decent target man, admittedly did a decent shift for the Budgies last season, but will be found out in the Prem next season, i defy any Budgie to argue that!

A renewed and up for it Chopra, in partnership with Wickham, (albeit in a lower league than Holt)

could be the striking partnership of the Championship next season??

i predict Chops to bag 50% more than GH...

    Thoughts??...

    quite a ridiculous post

championship is 46 games, premiership 38

champ a lot easier to score in

Surely Chopra, and I'm not even trying to be biased. I think Norwich would take 10 goals for Holt as a good season

If you look at the goals Holt has bagged, I can't see why he would be less likely to score them in the Premier League than the Champ.

Holt will be lucky to get more than ten starts in the prem let alone ten goals!!!

Holt kicks the ball and it goes in the goal, simple as that. Doesn't matter what league he'll bag goals, not as if he relies on pace or flair, he simply kicks the ball and scores, nothing changes regardless of league. Give Holt five yards of space near the goal and he'll stand a friggin good chance of scoring in the Prem.

CWick will score fewer than Holt next season, you can print that right now.

agree! so 15+ goals from Chopra would be meet the requirements, (not withstanding the Prem having less matches than the Championship)

i think you'll be finding that defenders are a bit quicker in the prem than the championship, able to read the game better, etc etc

Well, if Chopra doesn't, I'll be very disappointed!

Holt is up against a lot tougher opposition, and, as earlier stated, 10+ Premiership goals from Holt would be brilliant. Chopra has to do much better than that, or he's done no better than Scotland this year!

Don't think that we can compare like for like here. I am surprised though that you think it will be just as easy for Grunt in the Premiership DM - really? I don't think so.

A better comparison (but not much better) would be to see if Chopra can outscore Grant Holt based on his 1 season in the Championship?
That is going to take some beating I can promise.

Obviously Chops will score more, but, people shouldn't write Holt off - people did that last year then he bagged tons of goals and he will be Norwich's captain and inspiration again next season. I may be a Town fan, but I've got a lot of time for the qualities Holt brings as a player.

Good point Solly: if Holt wasn't a budgie, we'd probably all sing his praises for how well he's done. Still think the Premiership will be tough though!
