Most of these posts would have the CIA in turmoil looking for a conspiracy theory. FFS it's just a group of people wanting to keep the historical name of a football club, a name that we've all grown up dedicating a very large percentage of our lives to.

Still no answer to my question. Its not difficult to answer. I'll ask again. When you meet with Supporters Direct will you be representing Tigers Co-op?

As you well know CTWD isn't the supporters trust so he doesn't have to talk to us.

I do not have any plans to speak to Tigers Co op before my meeting with Supporters Direct, there is no need as at this stage as, I have no idea if what form of supporter involvement would be capable of producing the high level of investment needed. It is a complex financial issue and according to the advice of others who have been in similar positions, it is vital that the right vehicle is in place from the start. It may cost more in legal fees to change the nature and constitution of the Tigers Co op than you can raise from the membership.

Here is my first letter to Ehab and Assem Allam, from 2010.
    Dear Mr Allam,

May I begin by thanking the Allam family for all that they have done for Hull in recent times. Although I live and work in Southampton, my parents and sisters still live in Hull and even after nearly 50 years away I still call Hull home. I also travel up for just about every Hull City home match as I hold a season pass.

I want to see Hull and the East Riding develop in a way that protects the future of its people with a sustainable industry: An industry that is in many ways, capable of riding out the peaks and troughs of economics. Providing, long term employment for as many as possible.

Some time ago I asked several Hull City supporters if they would support the purchase of a portion of Hull City.

The vehicle I had in mind was called Hull City Sporting Club Ltd (HCSCL). Modeled on the Barcelona Sporting Club, it would offer the professional and amateur sports clubs in the area a new community based financial lifeline.

At that time, I viewed a 20% of Hull City shareholding of Hull City beyond the means of the community (without a capital figure it is pure guess work). The reaction was mixed with the general feeling that investors would not trust the regime that was in place at that time. We did not progress the idea.

My ideal is to look beyond football and rugby league, HCSCL would not only support these popular (in Hull) professional sports, but to encourage and develop Rugby Union, Hockey, Basketball, Cricket, Swimming in fact every form of club sport. It is obvious that local councils will drop or cut back the finances available to fund leisure and even sports in schools. Now is the time to enable the people to have ownership and a sporting club is the vehicle.

I have a greater objective, as I said that I want to see a new industry develop in the area, one that employs local people as Doctors, Nurses, Teachers, Engineers, Designers, Builders, Managers and workers in sports industry locally based businesses.

Your family has started the ball rolling, let me help you in any way that I can. I am coming up for the Preston fixture and plan to stay through to Monday (I have a meeting in Warrington at 1pm) if you could spare 30 minutes at any time so that I can introduce myself.

    Yours, sincerely,

Obi you said earlier, you dont keep everything secret, what ARE you keeping secret? Surely given the aims of working along side Dr Allam, you should be totally transparent?

It's also a bloke trying to do the best by the club he owns and to ensure its future when he's gone. The long posts against that don't bother you tho?

It's also quite clearly NOT JUST a group of people campaigning to keep a name.

I have posted replies every time you asked but for some reason they have not appeared.

No I will not be representing the Tigers Co op, but look at your own posts, you state that you wish to become a multi sport trust, what if I was representing another clubs trust from another sport altogether? Have you thought of that?

The only person polarizing the supporters of our club is the owner, Assem Allam. All of this squabbling over supporter groups, finance and points of order is bloody daft and playing into his hands.

I don't know if I'm being dim here, but do we have two totally separate groups competing or at least discussing a fan share of the Club?

Thanks for the reply. I haven't said anything about a multi sport trust.

Agreed by whom? If it is AA, then publish and bugger him. If you are saying that the campaign cannot agree then you have a serious problem. Posting true minutes of that meeting are the acid-test to the organisation's credibility.

No, I'm not competing with anyone and I cannot say that I have formed a group because that would not be true. I have been asked by others to speak to the Supporters Trust to see how to move things forward. The first objective would be a fans conference, which is the normal process (or so I believe). All recognised supporter groups would be invited. The question has to be asked who would be included and in some respects how this could incorporate other sports and existing trusts.

My views on single issue groups have been known from the start, I have never made a secret of where I stand on the name change and my views on it. My email correspondence has always been available for CTWD to read.

This situation is not unusual, fractions of supporters with their own agendas, it happens in virtually every formation of a supporters trust. Conflicting views on how do do things are always present at the start. Overcoming the divisions within the supporter base is the first step. Thats one of the reasons for the meeting as well.

I would ask this one question of everyone involved, just who is going to mediate between the supporters groups and later on the owners? It will not be me, thats for sure.

Sorry I must have read this quote wrong, wasnt it from a CI post by you? It looked that way.

    Exiled
he sociadad model is the same as that enjoyed by the likes of Barcelona and many other top teams in Europe.

Instead of a season ticket fans buy a membership to the club which enables them to attend every home game, apply for away game tickets and vote at club elections. The principal elections are those of a president and honorary Vice Presidents whose role is mainly ceremonial. The crucial factor is that such people can donate money to the club as a gift (not a loan) during their term in office - typically 5 years. Alternating between presidential elections the board members would be elected democratically as per the president and would enjoy a fixed term of five years deliberately staggered with the president to eliminate cronyism and produce stability of direction. These positions would be professional and given that this would probably be the most exciting project of this nature in the world of football should attract world class individuals with a track record of prior achievement at the level we aspire to safe in the knowledge they would be able to get on with their job free from interference. Ultimately they would be answerable to the members and the elections. Their principal challenge would be to leverage the unique approach (for the premier league) to attract world class commercial revenue and market the club as the 'deliberately different' option from the city famous for having that ethic in our culture. We would become most thinking peoples 'second club'.

Fez, for the minutes to be agreed there would have to be another meeting of all of the parties present. All of the reps and Assem Allam.

I disagree. We have all been told that there was no non-disclosure agreement placed upon any attendees. AA called the meeting with a disparate bunch of reps from various and seperate support groups and he would be insane to rely on them all keeping quiet.
Someone explain why no minutes are available; not getting agreement within the group is not a reason and our rep (OLM) should publish as he said he would. There is a big credibility issue here and it needs addressing now.

We could not agree the minutes with the club. Posting the minutes is not an acid test of our credibility. Keeping our word is an acid test though. We agreed with the club that we would write the minutes and then seek agreement. That's what we did but failed to reach agreement.

I ask questions but get no answers.
Did CTWD meet with the Supporters Trust or was it Tigers Co op?
Who will mediate between the trust and the club?
Why after issuing an apology to SD do you continue to state that you are working with them?
