tbh, if they find couple of good CMs or even one world class CM - they will just do fine. if I may, don't count before you hatch.. I still worry Moanure's (-8) over yo' Goons (+4) !!
Guess what? Nobody gives a **** if you worry more about United than Arsenal, in fact, you should, since you're not the ones sitting 12 points above United with a chance of going 15, :-D so you should worry more about United pipping you into the top 4. You won't be challenging us with that **** defence of yours, lol, conceding 6 goals against Sunderland and Stoke, so you should be more worried about United than Arsenal.
I think all this ribbing of RvP is a bit premature. Yes it's likely that Man Utd are out of the title race now, but he still has a PL winners medal, something I don't think any of the Arsenal squad possess at present. If Arsenal win the league, the ribbing can begin. Until then, he really still has the upper hand.
Well said. This is why I've yet to partake in any ribbing thus far. I prefer egg on my plate not on my face.
http://www.theguardian.com/football...anchester-united-arsenal?INTCMP=ILCNETTXT3487 Can they still overtake us, and be ahead of us by the new year?
Oh poor RVP, yeah he won his league title, but when he left us for United, he was going to United to consistently challenge/win trophies, to fight at the top, not find himself in the same and even worse position than we were in 2012! He got tired of being in a team in transition, and that's exactly what he finds himself in again with this United team, a team in transition, a team who's realistic aim of the season is to fight for that 4th spot, a team filled with average players and on it goes. You can bet your ass that that's what he will be thinking right now, and that championship medal he has isn't much consolation for him right now, yeah he has that championship medal, but he's back to where he started, this United team look nowhere near to challenging for trophies anytime soon.
We'd have to lose our next 5 games, and they'd have to win all their 4 remaining games of the month to overtake us, plus get a better goal difference in that time, so highly highly unlikely.
At this rate United may find themselves in the same position as Liverpool in 2010, who just never found any form, and ended up 7th or 8th. Unless they start picking up some form, they can kiss top 4 goodbye, even with Arsenal last season, before we started our great run in February, we had another good run of form from December to the New Year and that was very important for us. To be into the top 4, as previous seasons have shown, you will have to enter a run of good form, and we're talking about having a period of going on a winning streak of 5-6 games in a row over different points in the season, United at this current rate have no chance in hell of top 4 especially with how good the other teams are playing.
People called me crazy when I put £100 on Arsenal winning the league this season.. turning out well so far though. I still think City and Chelsea are going to give you a challenge so it's important you just keep churning out these wins whoever you play. Old cliché I know but you can only beat what's put in front of you.
My old man always had a saying in football - "You are only as good as your last game". At this rate, Palace will catch United in three games time...............
Even though i would rather Arsenal win the league then City all Chelsea...... Remember, yeah you are top, but you have not won anything yet. Long long way to go.. Look at 3 o'clock all the Chelsea fans on our boards having a laugh, not so funny at 5pm lol
Why? Thing is despite their loss they're still in the mix for the title with Arsenal and City, tbf posters from many clubs including Championship teams have been on your board taking the piss and their clubs unlike Chelsea aren't looking down at you from a great height even after a defeat.
Totally agree. He must be thinking that IF he stayed and Arsenal won the league title, he'd be remembered as a true legend and a real hero with the Arsenal fans. If United don't qualify for the CL then RVP might go mad.
Some time before the start of the season, I got 12/1 odds which was very tempting and I think a bit long.
Just when it couldn't get any funnier with Manunited, it does: http://espnfc.com/news/story/_/id/1644356/shinji-kagawa-absence-due-overeating?cc=5739 "Manchester United boss David Moyes revealed that Shinji Kagawa missed the 1-0 defeat to Newcastle after eating too much and having his stomach pumped."
