3.40 Elnawin now looks overpriced with so few runners remaining only 4. Back 1pt win. Makes more value sense than the favourite High Standing 2/1 which I feel has a similar chance to win.
Beefy, I've been swapping notes with Islander about the race. The big question is whether Vettel can hold Alonso off the line. Vettel's machine gets away well, but Alonzo is a master when it comes to getting the power to the track. I fear for Webber again, he can't get away at all. Same for Massa, so that leaves Hamilton, who knows how to fire it away. Anything can happen here. It's going to be quite a race. I've been a RedBull fan well before they had a competitive car, so I really enjoying their success. When they won the constructors and drivers titles, I was over the moon. So Vettel again. And Webber to fight back. If Alonzo leads, we're in for a fantastic race. Cracking ride from Stoner in the Moto GP. PS. Ta Ron.
Young Seb looks like he's on the path to greatness, he's been mesmerising this year and last. As you've said the start off is crucial, Alonso really does nail them since he had a new clutch fitted. He could well nab Seb to the first corner, I think if he doesn't though only bad luck will prevent Seb from victory. He's already proven he can perform in the rain so I've little concerns from that point of view. Interestingly I think Alonso could be vulnerable in the wet, I think he's one of weaker protaganists in those conditions. Webber has a massive following here on the UK and it would be nice to see him get on the podium at least, it must be pretty soul destroying having SV as your team mate. I think I've talked myself into a little wager on Vettel. So thats my nap Seb Vettel to win Canadian Grand Prix 5/4 generally.
2.30 Sohraab wins with ease, 1 up 2 more to go for a treble. Woolcombe I hope you was on this one... I can't keep posting winners forever.
Islander can you look out your window and tell me if it's still raining in Montreal where the track is please lol
Beef its going to be 20c with humidity of 88%, 5 to 10 mm of rain during afternoon /evening with thunderstorms which will add to the accumulation. Think the teams should all go to the nearest Pirrelli dealership and buy some all season tyres, maybe some studded ones just incase it hails
Money back on the office lucky 15 so have but it back on the following Border Patrol (thanks Nass ) got 5/2 Action Master 4.20 Rosco 9/4 Another Ambition 4.50 Rosco 11/2 Spill the Beans 5.25 Rosco 13/8 hoping Ruby gets a double Stay Frosty
Islander what's your thoughts on the Grand Prix this afternoon, I know you also seem keen on the motorsports. Should be an absolute humdinger of a race, fantastic track for racing and if its wet...well there'll be plenty of overtakes, big change from the last grand prix Monaco!
Beef, the track is very flat and drainage is a problem. I watched the the practise and time tests , there were a lot of crashes and red flag periods,Personnaly i feel the curbs are too high alot of cars bouncing of them and loosing grip and then into the walls. Its known for being really hard on the brakes. Which should not be a problem if its a wet race, No room for error really.I think Alonso will win.But praying for either Lotus teams to pick up some points I lived in Montreal for a number of years and never missed a race,
Islander you don't subscribe to my 'Alonso isn't that great in the wet' theory then He's a monster at the start, the Ferraris have came right back into the mix this weekend, they ain't been at the races this year at all. You would have seen some clinkers in your time then Islander, the Canadian Grand Prix usually produces some very entertaining races
Wish they changed the first corner always a shamble at the start, its a good track on the whole its very easy to get to aswell with the metro ,like all other racing in general you don;t get to see much. Its more for the experience of being there and the sites,(women), believe me Montreal is known for its beautful women. That replacement driver for team india? qualified 11th so he could be a surprise for some points. It will come down who can keep out of trouble and save their brakes.Like you say there is the opportunity for overtaking., and i will still stick with Alonso
Well done to all those on Elnawin including myself. Surprised drifted so badly... I'm up about 100pts (£1000)... YES!! Get in there Inxile! Two trebles landed.
Well done STB! You seem to tip your fair share for the forum's followers, so hearty congratulations. A nice bounty to carry into Ascot with!
Thanks going to party tonight... Missus will be happy with the money but she'll wonder where it came from.
