There was one team who could offer us a challenge back then. Theres alot more now in a far stronger league.

We are also 7 points off 4th now. In 2001 it was 3 points.

 

having too many good teams is good too, bcz it means others teams will lose many points compared to playing easier sides as before.. some teams are above us temporary bcz they don't have enough depth in the squad

meanwhile the team need serious investment and selling some of deadwoods , the manager himself should be more positive and try to win matches with a comfortable goal difference.. one point now mean nothing better than losing, we should now focus on the 3 points to catch up

 

So will United.

 

Same as his point about depth of squads, Utd have used their squad this season and its as lightweight as a fart in a hurricane.

not really, we had many injuries in the team, so we will be having more fresh legs by the end

 

So other clubs don't have injuries/suspensions to deal with?

 

With who exactly? By that point even top 4 will be nothing more than a pipe dream.

 

I remember Arsenal were 18 points behind us and still finished 4th .. the board didn't helped the manager and need to correct that in January transfer
and even if we missed CL this season, is not the end of the world .. let us build the new team, remember how i used to prefer going for young talents around, yet we only paid big money for Berb and aging RVP .. we bloody had Pogba and Sir Alex had to bring Scholes back instead of giving the guy a chance ..
hope this time we will go for young players .. am feedup with buying old ones, let us pay 30m on 2-3 wonder kids and take a gamble .. i rather we be out of CL spot than buying short term signings

 

the team am talking about are liverpool, Arsenal and spurs .. their squad depth is not good and they have their key players who they keep playing over and over
even City when losing kompany only struggled at the back..

 

All your thoughts and examples are of a different era at Utd, you can't compare Atkinson to Saf and the same applies to Moyes and Saf, your new manager has different ideas on coaching, tactics and targets.

I think luckily for us we have too many good teams in top10, and if we get 2-3 great players, I think there will be enough quality to earn enough points to get 3rd or 4th while other teams getting points from each other

 

Moyes keeps playing different players every week but they're all rubbish. You've also had fewer injuries than the teams above you.

 

So in your little fantasy no other club takes points of you?

That means you won't lose/draw against any of the many teams above you.
