Fan ownership is the way all sustainable clubs will go in the future, it's merely a case of being one of the first, or one of the last to get on board.

As for being paranoid, no individual benefits from a supporters trust ownership model, the motives of every supporters trust, is to have a voice on the board of the club, for the benefit of the club.

    So i wasnt paranoid then.

Didnt Tigers Co Op try to buy the club or a stake in it under AP? He gave them short shrift as i recall and that was when we were in the 4th Division.

The Tigers Co-op trust was set up before AP took over and I'm not aware of them trying to buy anything from AP.

You keep referring to ulterior motives and individuals benefitting, it's all bollocks.

It was started as a one issue campaign keep the name. Now you want a control in the club. If it happened then a place on the board is taken by someone who benefits?

Maybe other posters remember but I recall Tigers Co Op raising money for a share of the club. Didnt they buy Tigers Lair with it after AP rebuffed them. I may be wrong on that can anyone shed light?

It still is a one issue campaign, we've just stated our aim to develop a supporters trust in the future, as Allam asked us to. Anyone representing a supporters trust can merely put forward the views of the trusts members, they don't get to decide anything on their own, nor do they indivually get a shareholding or any financial benefit.

If you're that bothered about what Tigers Trust did ten-fifteen years ago, I ca ask them for you?

But there lies the problem OLM, single issue. Supporters Direct cannot work with single issue groups.

Are they working with you or have you just had an informal meeting with them? I only ask as I'm invited to meet them in London or Manchester next week.

Chazz - surely, if the Trust obtained a share in the ownership of the Club, then the seat on the board would be held by a rep of the Trust?

And, O Chazz - as money is being added to the CTWD coffers (membership + donations), wouldn't you be among the first to shout out "What happened to all the funds?" when this name-change farce is ended?

But that is different to what you are saying. You are jumping the gun yet again. Supporters Direct are not working with you, they cannot WORK with anyone other than the Tiger Co op as they only WORK with one clubs supporters trust. CTWD have been told already by Jacqui not to say that they are working with Supporters Direct. It's misleading and should stop.

So are you a supporters trust already. That's news. CTWD are NOW tigers co op and that means membership of one is membership of both does it or are you jumping the gun again?
What's the problem with me or anyone else meeting with Supporters Direct? I'm not WORKING with them just having a chat with them, there is no agenda.
What happens if Assem Allam refuses to deal with CTWD after it merges with Tigers Co op or visa versa?
So will you stop being a single issue group after next weeks meeting or what?
