Thanks very much for the informative write up.

One thing I've noticed over the last month or two is that both Burnley & Leicester have taken the lead on the table and relinquished it not long after.
We on the other hand have continue to float in the middle with no real assertion.

I'm thinking over the next week or two we have an opportunity to make a statement and take up first place once and for all.
I also think the way we have been playing of late that this may not happen at all ..................... for the simple fact that we continue to show no real desire to lead the pack and are quite content to sit back and go through the motions for some time yet.

From someone sitting along way away from the action, I can only surmise that given the fact that we have not hit form with any authority, to be sitting in the top three without all cylinders firing is not such a bad thing.
Hopefully, some time this season we'll get the fire in the belly and make a genuine charge.

Having just watched the BBC highlights, a draw was probably a fair result on the basis of the chances shown.

For once, that was a fair reflection of the game, two great chances each.

Happy to admit I may have been harsh on Carol. Think I may have judged him more on the fact that our tactics worked against him (ie 5 vs 2 at times) than on his personal performance.

More willing to stand by my Barton assessment. Too sloppy for a player of his calibre, despite the passion and occassional good ball

Does he deserve Flyer (and others) eternal love for what he did against us?

Rhodes was non-existent for the time he was on the pitch. Number 19 Chris Taylor was their biggest attacking threat.

Good report Raving I only managed to get the stream working for the second half and had to rely on commentary for the first but we did sound woeful first half. But now it makes sense seeing as B'bum overwhelmed our midfield, however all in all not to disheartened with the result as nearly every team we have played and are going to play will either flood the midfield and/or the defence which will make for some pretty dire football this season.

Just got to get on with it and used to it and may I say stop moaning about (not on this thread) it is what it is!

He never got a chance but hed have buried the ones they missed.

Even the QPR commentators were saying he shouldnt have been subbed. anyway it was just one game.

You would make a good politician, Flyer ;)

Rhodes was non existent and it took me half an hour to even realise he was on the pitch.

He had a poor game but his record speaks for itself. at least 20 goals a season for a basket case of a club.

Sorry mate, but as I've said for years...Im just not that impressed with him
Not sure he's in the right team blah blah blah but that doesnt matter to a goal scorer.
Being subed shows what i always believed. he's an average strikerthat cant cut it at top level. Should make his living getting team up..ala Kevin phillips. lots of players like him..in fact we have one of our own.

Just one game..? against the league leaders where he should show his class & potential....but flopped !! another Adel i think!

Really enjoyed seeing a league game again, The Stella in the springbok went down very well.

Nelson Mandelha created the rainbow nation, lots of love & respect shown by both sets of fans. Strangely I was surrounded by, Fin's, Swede's, Norweigens, Irish and Swiss all cheering the R's. Great atmosphere.

Blackburn Stuck to their game plan with more discipline in the first half where our plan was - Pass to Junior. Could understand why Matty Phillips got subbed, when ever he got on the ball blackburn looked scared, the scilence in the ground suggested most people couldn't work out this sub either. Junior had no end product again, but can't be critisised for lack of effort. I never realised just how much player we got with Kranjcar, Maybe a diet of stadium hotdogs would reduce his appitite, but even he could'nt afford to buy that many of our hotdogs.

I really don't think Green deserves a 6, clean sheet, no mistakes.

Agree with everything else Raving except Traore. The only thing missing was a flower that squirts water and floppy shoes. A Joke performance. Fell over, Failed to trap or even kick the ball on occasions. Time he moved on.

For our Bournemouth & Blackburn home matches, and Doncaster away I was able to pick streams, which was a pleasant surprise for me.

I note that the link to the Blackburn match stream, that I had to first register for to gain access, now shows the following message, as does the "Mikeisyou" stream.

Does annyone know the original source of these streams - it almost looks like a hacked QPR Player UStream that is later used to present match highlights?

I may have to think twice before contributing to this forum as my own views on Carroll are so at odds with the majority on here. His first half was truly woeful and while he did at least put some energy into the second half (presumably with HR's shoe up his jacksie at half time) it was not effective in any obvious way.

I also seem to disagree about Austin with most other punters and yesterday was no exception. He looked listless and tired and was second to every ball that came his way.

On the positive side Assou-Ekotto was MoM by a country mile and must have had more touches than the rest of the team put together. Clint Hill was also impressive as ever and Barton never stopped running.

As a firm admirer of Redknapp I have to admit to having serious doubts about his decisions yesterday. His starting formation didn't work and he was too slow to change it. Hoilett had clearly been ruffled by the abuse from the Blackburn fans and had to go but to take off both wide men just when the opposition was finally looking stretched was crazy.

Hi Bush Rhino, a quick explanation on the Green front. My base (when marking players out of 10) is 6. They have to do something good to gain marks from there, or do something bad to go down to a 5 etc. (Obviously). As Green didn't have to do much out of the ordinary for a goalkeeper, and made zero mistakes, he stayed on a 6. Apologies if that seems unfair!

Welcome to the club, one game hes got Henry starting in a defensive 451 then hes got a 442 with just Barton and a lightweight carroll in the middle.
He just seems to be trying everything hoping something works.

He still hasnt tried the formation/team Id like. A 4231 with Carroll or Kranjcar behind the front man. Saying that it doesnt matter what the formation is when the players go out every game like its the 2nd match of a 2 leg tie and they are already 4-0 from the 1st game.
