Hello Beefy. You haven't been around for a long time. How's it going?

Was never in doubt! I have reason other than a feeling that west brom wouldn't score if we were still playing. Certainly nipped up a few times, but they had a lot of possession, crosses etc, but very few clear cut chances, which were either fluffed or well saved.

Ruddy was awesome, he must have made the goal look tiny to the opposition.
    Turner and bassong defended resolutely
Howson and Johnson ran themselves ragged, chased and harried everything
Fer looked a bit lazy and slow to me, had a lower work rate than he's shown in previous games, and wasn't fully involved in the game, making it a bit more difficult for the other midfielders. That said, he was played out of position (on the left), set the first goal up and scored the second, so who am I to criticise. His class is unquestionable.
Redmond ran himself into the ground. He just needs to mature a bit now. He does all the hard work, then lacks that bit of composure to make the correct decision, when to pick someone out and when to shoot. Very much like theo Walcott a few years ago. When he can produce that final pass, players like wolfie and hoops will start scoring for fun.
Elmander worked hard again, and done the ugly side of the game which gets u no plaudits.
Hooper is starting to find his feet too, which is good to see.
I think, with the run of games now coming, we could go on a bit of a run. 22 points by the end of the year will see us on course. Personally I think we could top that.

It appears my 'source' had been on the 'sauce' <laugh>

It probably is total bollocks but he's still adamant that it's true and it's not a wind-up though <doh>

I wouldn't completely write it off - sorry to be the bearer of bad news but that toe injury is potentially career threatening.

    I doubt it, but it's a possibility.

I posted a wikipedia quote earlier (yeah, hardly the best resource for medical diagnosis...) which said much the same. I think the aim is for him to be back in contention for next weekend, so presumably he's back in at least light training by now? If wikipedia is to be believed, a severe case of turf toe makes accelerating and turning at speed difficult. To me, that seems like the sort of thing that light physical training would quickly uncover. I think the pre-match presser for the Swansea game will be a good indication of how close he is to being back. If he's ruled out completely I'll start to get a little concerned, but I'd like to think he'll be fit enough for the bench.

Hughton said RvW has been doing a lot of running in the last week, so hopefully he should be well on the road of recovery

Evening Warky I've just checked out the Championship table and you're looking good for at least a play-off place, what do you reckon ? Pity we didn't draw each other in the Cup but there's always round 4 ;)

I don't know you, so it wouldn't be right for me to say I don't like you based on nothing more than our differing opinions on the Canaries current situation. I do know that I don't like what you write on here, but that doesn't necessarily mean I don't like you.

Heck, you might be a top bloke for all I know and if we met down the pub we might get on like a house on fire - as long as we didn't get on to the subject of Chris Hootun that is ;)
