Typical clinical finish for him today and that it exactly the type of service he has craved. Lets hope we can continue to pick him out in those kind of areas with those kind of balls.
Hooper is a goal machine, never doubted for a second he wouldn't score. He's becoming much loved here, I can see why you miss him.
Really what Fer was trying to do when we played Chelsea, but their defence was too well organised. From what I remember, RvW should be available for selection next week.

He just has the look of a natural goalscorer to me.Fer and Redmond are both good footballers but for my money Hooper is the real key to our success.I will be very surprised if he doesn't make double figures now he is off the mark.
5 in 12 games in all competitions so far. Not bad at all. His conversion rate must be pretty good too because I can't remember him missing too many chances.
Hooper is a modern day TedMacDougall.These days you don't get back passes sticking in the mud but Hooper has the same kind of positional sense and pace over short distances.Better still his style won't appeal to the top clubs as it isn't flashy enough so it's unlikely he will get nicked.My guess is that he will be with us until the end of the decade.
If CH and his team can instill into the midfield that what we need is - "Through balls and passing to feet, no long ball bring-downs", whether it is GH or RvW (or dare I say it - both!!), then I can see us scoring more than 1 goal per game and hopefully win a few more games.
I think that this is at the heart of the transition which City has been going through from the start of the season. Poor RvW looked like a fish out of water in the early games as the service adjusted from Holtesque (which many on here are still nostalgic about) to finesse (feeding the ball through to the striker to run on to and fashion a goal). Fer's through ball to Hooper was a perfect example and Hooper then fashioned the goal which allowed City to dominate the game. Whilst others ranted against CH I was predicting that the transition would have to be completed if City are to move away from survival football. IMO, the fruits of that are beginning to show and there is more to come from both RvW and Hooper. Sadly, I think Becchio is more of the Holtesque tradition and therefore his opportunities will be limited unless he can evolve.
