I am still inclined to blame the players, you can change the tactics as much as you want on paper/the drawing board but that doesn`t stop players from passing, crossing, defending or scoring. In other words, a player should know how to play and if he is off form or not doing his best it is his fault. You don`t tell RVP how to score any more than you tell De Gea how to make a save therefore you shouldn`t need to tell the midfield how to pass and run or the defenders how to defend. You should be able to depend on the players seeing where problems lie and making the effort to cover them.

Of course its down to moyes. He clearly cant motivate the players, they clearly dont want to play for moyes. Changing the players will not change the results as the only players who will want to play under moyes are going to mediocre. He has to go. Capello or hiddink til end of the season.
The bit in bold. How about tough **** what they want? How much do they get paid? It is their ****ing job to play for whoever happens to be their boss. Their job. They need to be able to handle change, it happens sometimes in life. What happens of they don't like the next manager, or the one after that? Do the club keep sacking managers until one comes along who the players like for ****'s sake? They need to put in the requisite effort and get themselves out of the mess they've helped the new boss into. If, after the transfer window and a full season, we still look to be in freefall then maybe it will be time to think again. Not now though.
Its also moyes job to get the best out of the players. Motivate them and get them playing something resembling football. Hes failed to do any of it. Why wait til January and beyond. What evidence or glimmer of hope have you seem that hes going to change it around? Sometimes mistakes are made, even the greatest make them. Its how you learn from them that matters. Hopefully we will learn quickly that to be the best, you need the best.
Half the players have switched off since Ferguson left. They look disinterested. He probably wants shut of them as he can't believe what arrogant workshy ****wits he's been left with. This is bound to happen, it's called change. There will be a transition period. This is how life works. A good proportion of the squad are not good enough to play for the club yet Alex Ferguson, because he is the best manager ever to manage in English domestic football, got the best out of them. Moyes isn't Fergie, he needs a bit of time to get his ideas across and in the meantime he's having to work with some fairly bog standard footballers. The ONLY way to truly judge him is when he's had the opportunity to freshen up the squad with players he chose himself. Next month he should get that chance and in summer a better chance because there won't be the usual European cup tied bollocks. In one year if we're in the same position as we are now then he should go. But he deserves a chance. People need to realise that the squad Fergie left Moyes is only marginally better than the one Atkinson left Ferguson. If anything, the first eleven is worse.
League champions do not become utter ****e in a few months. People keep on saying how average and **** our players are and its complete bollocks. Our squad is fine, infinately better than a number of sides currently above us and full of proven winners. Fergie got the best out of them because they had that ability. It was no miracle, he made a team of very good players believe in themselves. Thats half his job done before a ball is kicked. Fergies had far worse teams than this one and hes struggled to get them doing much. The changes have all been in management. Its the same players who walked the league with ease. Its not just the players some of us dont like who are not performing, its all of them bar rooney and De gea. What happens if our poor form continues and by January we cannot attract the calibre of player needed to take us forward? We could be well out of the race for the champions league and the team morale at an all time low. Do we stick with moyes even then? Hoping he suddenly becomes a natural winner like Fergie through some miracle?
I don't think our squad is fine and neither did Moyes when he suggested that we needed two centre midfielders. The embarrassment that was our summer transfer dealings has had a bigger impact than what was initially thought and whilst I am concerned about giving Moyes more money to spend after the Fellaini transfer, he did seem to recognise the quality needed with the shambles of a fabregas bid. Whether we will be able to attract the quality required in January or even in a World Cup summer remains to be seen, but I'm an optimist and so I still think he needs more time and the financial backing needed.
No one is Fergie though. You mind telling who you think this Fergie the second is who will make the squad winners again? Half that squad are not good enough.
Of what I would consider the first choice first team, here's what I consider the state of play; De Gea - excellent, no problem. Rafael - injured Rio - now too old Vidic - struggling after major injuries Evra - one year older. Valencia - out of form Carrick - injured Jones - finding his way in new position Nani - out of form, can't be arsed Rooney - excellent, no problems RVP - out of form, seeing his arse. Now I know that's my personal first choice playing the formation Moyes favours but there are big issues with that team. Of the reserves, only Evans, Smalling, Kagawa,Januzaj, Giggs and Hernandez are good enough. The rest are not. He's got a major job on his hands.
I'm sure you won't sack him this season, if fergie comee out of retirenent and helps it's a massive embarrassment for utd, fergie, and moyes. #goodtimes.
