Just to clarify the Harry Reed "Wotsit" bit, it is not original, Dave Kitson I think was the first ginger to be called it.
Indeed. He was personally disappointed with his performance against Villa, although I thought he was reasonably good even then, despite a couple of errors. Today he was well and truly back to his old self, and even showed that he didn't need his old sparing partner Morgan out there to be effective. I hope he gives Poch a bloody good headache.
"Dodgy moment when he nearly gave the ball away"...??? that is one of the reasons he was so good; when it looked like he was in trouble, he dropped his shoulder and came away in possession.
In the summer people didn't think our midfield needed improving and now I think some are struggling to come to terms with the fact they were wrong. During the Wanyama transfer saga there were a few posters who seemed a little to keen to insist the deal was off.
Yep, Morgan Cork Vic and Davis, any team would be happy with those four to pick from in their centre mid. If Schneiderlin got injured for a few games last season we would have gone down.
Not sure if you know which moment I'm talking about, but he got himself into trouble with a poor touch and just about managed to get there before he was robbed in a very dangerous position. It was one of those mistakes that can easily end in a goal. I'm hardly going to praise him for the fact he didn't quite gift City a goal.
Oh really. We played well Wednesday. Couple of defensive errors that were punished. Could have been 5-3 win.
On Player, Mauricio said (without naming names) that he hoped some players might be back by next weekend.
BBC's Steve Wilson on Match of the Day: "Helped onto Osvaldo... He's never gonna run away from Kompany, but he might turn inside him... Twice, still Dani Osvaldo, three times... OHH WHAT A GOAL!"
Woohooooo! That said, Davis was good this week too, we didn't really need either of Wanyama and Schneiderlin today.
I can't tell you how much I hate BBC commentary on MOTD. It is so put on and such a set up it's ridiculous. The commentator sits down post match and adds on the commentary after watching the clips. At the beginning of the Liverpool-WHU game the commentator said "Michael Oliver hadn't shown a red card for x amount of games" and would you believe it he sends off Nolan during the game. It's pathetic and cringe worthy.
This. I don't think we missed any outfield players today. Cork was outstanding and Chambers was my MOTM. Hell, even Gazza gained in confidence as the game went on. Ramirez looked well up for it in his cameo appearance.
Quite true. Lineker tried kidding people that they don't see the games before hand. In which case, lets ignore the commentary and just enjoy watching the goal... please log in to view this image
Well, whether you like it or not, the commentary is done live 99% of the time. It's actually quite easy to spot when the commentary is over-dubbed later simply because it isn't possible to adequately mix the commentary voice down realistically into the overall sound, without spending a great deal of time. Just to make sure this was live commentary, and not over-dubbed later, I've popped back to listen to it. Yep, it's live.
I thought you were reffering to the free kick fiasco. I can't really remember what happened, but someone cocked up badly. Not sure if it was Cork.
