No fair play Kempy it was just a gentle wind up mate! Enjoy tonight like us Townies who are enjoying our very good run at the moment.
I think you have me confused with some other poster mate! Every Townie will vouch for the fact that I have been 100% behind Mick ever since he became Town manager and I have never waivered and never will.
Seb was incredible today, although in terms of leadership, Ruddy was mighty impressive. Always ordering the defence around, and giving them an earful whenever they were out of position.
Yeah Cheers Max! All joshing aside it is good for East Anglia when the 2 top teams are doing well and especially after a horrible week for the region!
Just back from the hawthorns, good match, turner was outstanding, hooper clinical, redmond slightly wasteful but always a threat, murphy worried their defence a fair bit but John Ruddy what a man. Not sure how they came across on tv for anyone watching online etc but he made what seemed to be 2 unbelievable saves in the second half.
How right you are, it is horrible indeed. I bet he kicked his cat when the second goal went in. It's long time we had a chunk of luck under Hootun, we got some today and took full advantage, absolutely brilliant result - more of the same against Swansea would be amazing
With all the injuries we have, to be 14th isn't bad. If it's down to luck, then it's about time we got some. We've got a good record against Swansea since we got promoted, so fingers crossed with another win.
Perhaps not luck then, how about "rub of the green"? I agree that it was their profligacy in front of goal - as well as some resolute defending and taking of chances - that was their downfall, but you can't deny it does kinda feel like it was "our day" today - and it hasn't felt like that for quite some time. Feels bloody brilliant as well, what a great day
Ruddy must get a mention for City's fifth clean sheet of the season and for that superb stop from Long just before Fer's goal. It was also started from a Ruddy throw if I remember correctly.
I don't think I've ever seen anyone as reserved as Hughton after the second goal. Pretty sure he shook Becchio and Martin's hands, whilst the rest of the team are bundling on top of each other!
I would just like to say to all that are taking the piss at me because of our result yesterday, I've got broad shoulders and if I dish it out I am more than happy to take the flak. For everybody's information I am definitely NOT upset that we won yesterday, completely the opposite in fact I am 'over the moon'. I HAVE NEVER, EVER WANTED MY TEAM TO LOSE even under the Rodent. I did say on the Liverpool matchday thread that if losing by 10 it would mean the end of Hughton I'd take it, but by then Liverpool were out of sight. We didn't deserve to beat WBA but then again we arguably did against Cardiff for example. I'm still in the Hughton Out camp for now but I am not so narrow minded as to not change my mind IF results and performances improve. I genuinely believed that Hughton would not be our manager come January, now he has probably bought himself more time to turn things around. If he does, brilliant, no-one would be more pleased than me. Thank you for listening OTBC CTI IHW?
