As in his injury means his career's over, or he's being sold on in January? On twitter he seemed pretty pleased we'd won. If it's through injury though, this wiki quote makes me think playing him whilst injured was bleeding stupid:

I heard rumours the other week that Carroll's injury was career-threatening, but he's back in training, so hopefully it's more scaremongering.

What a horrible attitude to have.

Can't see exactly how he's been lucky, luck hasn't exactly been with him. I for one am glad of a win and hopefully a bit of pressure off our manager. Hope we'll pull together a string of results now.

Any result that keeps Hughton in his job for a bit longer is fine by me! He is doing a fine job and should be encouraged! <ok>

Good win, perhaps fortunate but a welcome 3 points. Amazing what happens when you set up the team to win and supply your strikers!

    A reasonable, sensible appraisal:

However, this guy just gets worse, emabarrassingly so. <ok>

There are some really stupid remarks about Hughton's luck. A win is a win. West Brom failed to score, full stop. I don't recall people saying how lucky Cardiff were when they got that 0-0 or when Villa left with a win.

There was a thread earlier about why people are posting less and we are already seeing those who have had differing opinions being targeted. Just please agree to disagree.

All you can really say if we were lucky today, which I think we probably were,is that it just makes up for the luck that Cardiff,Citeh and Liverpool had against us.Bloody cracking result Gromitt!

You mean those same results that are pulling us out of the relegation battle?

I think it's fair to say that City rode their luck today, but as others have pointed out, how many times could that have been said about our opponents in the past? Away wins are very hard to come by in the PL and we should enjoy this one, but the fact of the matter is that City scored two excellent goals from only 8 chances, whilst WBA scored none from 25. Finally, CH has definitely said that RvW is back in training and may be available for the Swansea game, so let's put away the conspiracy theories please.

I didn't see a lot of luck in the Norwich performance. Comedy defending yes, good finishing yes, luck no.
What I did see was a WBA strike force who couldn't hit a cow's arse with a banjo.

We were certainly lucky with the penalty shout when it hit Olsson's arm

It could have been given by some refs, but Olsson's arm didn't move to the ball and he was falling to the ground at the time (hard to keep your arms in when you're about to hit the ground). Dare I mention the penalties City haven't been given in the past?

And according to the 'Big Ears' interview with CH to be screened in MotD tonight - a 5 star performance from none other than JR!!!!!

Could be he's back to full fitness. <ok>

It's not really the differing opinion I have a problem with, I fully accept people don't want Hughton to be our manager, I disagree but I'm not going to argue about it.

It's when people are abusive towards Hughton I don't like, I always thought our fans were better than that. Also giving credit when it's due, I was critical over the Newcastle, Man City, Liverpool (etc) games, but when we get a result we have to acknowledge that as well if not it's double standards.

Be honest KIO, at this moment, you'd rather see your team lose than win and CH get credit for the said three points, wouldn't you?

    Unbelievable.
