in the end the thing is..... if we beat tottenham (somehow) and win this weekend its 9/12 and thats what i targets from this group of games. funny how it works out.

need this win tonight. need another this weekend.

no internationals coming up = chance to build consistency.... theres a big lesson there for lfc.

 

27 from 14 would have seen you in the top 4 in something like 10 of the last 12 seasons.
We'd all agree that we haven't played our best yet, but we are in a decent position from any perspective.

 

yeah, in fairness is a real position. don't deserve any more or less... unlike newcastle who zoomed up to a false position IMO. the next month we are going to have to dig in.

 

30 points out of 45 is a decent return. We're getting better and better as the season goes on.

We're on 2 points per game. Bang on target for top 4 so far however the tally for top 4 could well be less this yea with everyone dropping points

spurs next. we need a draw just to keep up to the 70 points chase.

I'm feeling ok about cardiff and hull to sandwich the two hard games. if we take 7/12 i'll be happy. there is a possiblility of sneaking a point off both. going unbeaten til january will be great.

 

got a good feeling we will beat spuds tbh.

I think we've a chance v spurs. the dynamism from modric and bale is long gone. I don;t think they have the directness that troubled us in the past but it'll be a very tough game and we've not got back to the grinding mentality of our first 3 games at all. i feel thats whats needed this time.

needed the hull 3 points to make this one a bonus. now while get got 2nd back we are playing catch up to a runaway arsenal

 

I feel as if we need to put in a good performance agaisnt Spurs. We haven't really performed against the "bigger" teams so far this season, and equally haven't really performed away from home, we need to show that we're progressing and beat Spurs at WHL, while we're up in the top four it's in our own hands. And with City playing Arsenal, it could be a good opportunity to either gain a couple of points on Arsenal or gain some breathing space from City.

 

Smashing the bottom 12 gets you the points you need for CL, but doing well against the top teams has also has value. Our results against the top 8 so far have been poor;

Arsenal (A) - poor loss
Everton (A) - ok draw
Newcastle (A) - poor draw against 10
Southampton (H) - poor loss

 

Spuds are there for the taking. They can only score from penalties and look awful as a whole. Yes, we're away, but **** it, go there and attack them. Our defense is leaky, if we sit back and defend, we'll concede. We need to attack from the off and make the game uncomfortable for them. If we can sneak 2 goals, I can't see them getting 3.

Give Suarez a pack of haribo before the game or something.

 

and another pack if he promises does well as an incentive
