WBA had 27 shots on goal - 12 on target. Reminds me of our game against Cardiff. JR back to his best!!!!!
You have to wonder just how many ladders the WBA players have walked under this week. I kind of feel a little sorry for their fans tonight.
Agreed. It's good to get the win today but how much luck did they use up? That's as nervy performance as you'd want to watch, but it's three massive points and we move on to Swansea. At least they dug deep for the manager today.
Really good result - some luck there (don't think WBA could have scored with 90 more minutes), though Ruddy was back to his commanding self. Lovely finish from Hooper, great assist and goal from Fer. Just the tonic...
West Brom will feel a bit unlucky to lose that game, they were all over us for pretty much all the game. But I don't care how we get the points, I will take a scrappy 3pts away from home any time. Think you got to give Hughton some credit for picking up the players after Wednesday night, we got some kind of response.
This week I think Hughton should make Redmond only practice crossing and passing. Nothing else. Don't let him take on a single player until he has passed the ball 5 times and every time he beats a player he should be made to cross it. The only way to improve his decisions in those positions is to get the idea of passing and crossing firmly rooted in his head! If he gets that then he'll easily be a top Prem players, he beats defenders so easily!
Agreed, and I hope we will see the 4-4-2 used for away games against the bottom half teams more often now
What a result, desperately needed that or we'd have been just a point ahead of Palace. West Brom are well and truly in the mix now, and Cardiff must be getting very worried.
Shame Stoke beat Chelsea. But I'm feeling a lot better after that win, I still feel we'll be ok this season but it is still a bit tight.
