The 4-4-2 are dated, only the relics use it. Play some variation of the 4-5-1, pack the midfield and suffocate the opponent. Not always fun to watch but it works.
Very disappointing half for us fielding such an attacking (on paper) formation. Hopefully Harry has shaken them up and we can nick a win, as right now we could easily be 2-0 down in this game.

Apart from Derby, most of the other results are going in our favour, so this is our chance to go top if we could smarten ourselves up.
Yet we still have most of the ball and nothing in the final third. formation has nothing to do with it, its the tactics and instructions.
Exactly. As long as the three behind the lone forward get up to support and inter-change it can be very attacking. We haven't got that pert right this season though.

You are wrong about formations not affecting things. Our main problem seems to be that Phillips and Hoilett just aren't delivering, which is presumably why they've both been hooked.
