http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/robin-van-persie-transfer-request-2900457 Should we offer Van Persie a lifeboat to a top four club, or just do a Californian and sail on, leaving them with the Moyes iceberg?
Why waste the money? There's more value for less cost out there. BTW, DD Californian could not sail by as she was stopped at the time that Titanic hit the berg.
He's World Class and so purely on football ability any team in the league would take him. He is on a level with Suarez and Aguero. Personally i hope he doesn't get offered a way out and Utd miss out on the CL so he can strut his stuff in the europey league, desperately sad that he is being managed by Moyes and relying on a 40 year old and Cleverley to get him the ball. So you lot need to keep hold of that 4th spot!
Is he? In a World 11 would he really make the team at the moment ahead of forwards like Ronaldo/Messi/Suarez/Ibrahimovic/Aguero?
Then you buy him back at a premium price and then look even more foolish when he does his 'old crock' trick again!
My definition of World Class isn't as narrow as only 11 players being World Class. I've seen this argument a million times, people have different definitions and it's not worth the energy to debate it But yes he is on par with Suarez and Aguero.
I didn't say he is worth loads of money Just that any team in the league would take him given the opportunity. I don't think anyone would pay loads for him given his age, his injury record etc..
What would your definition of World Class be? Mine is can make it into a World 11 squad otherwise you end up with about 50 world class players and defeats the whole point...
