It seems Kenny knowing that he can't get Jones,He can ensure that United pay out more money that they thought they would.Its an old trick its called the ''fake bid''.Man City did it in 2008 with their fake bid for Berbatov.Blackburn it seems will get the £20 million even if it does include add-ons.
They put in a massive fake bid which United had to match.This will ensure that United have no money left for the area they really need to strengthen....the centre of their midfield.

Any bid above the release clause has to be accepted. Regardless of the amount. Jones doesnt want to play for Liverpool so we will be signing him for £16million.

Release clause doesnt mean permission to talk, it means meet this offer and if you agree terms you get the player. Bidding £22million when there is a release clause of £16million is stupid especially when hes said he doesnt want to go liverpool.

Football clubs are businesses,its not 1962 anymore.If Blackburn were offered more than £16 million by another club,then the club that the player wants to join has to top it even if it is in add-ons.Thats why I still believe that United will end up paying £20 million including add-ons for Jones.

his contract is legally binding and BRFC cannot make the rules up as they go. the whole club is a shambles.

there is also the matter that if the Venkys do not honour the terms in his contract it may well void it allowing him to leave on a free. very very unlikely but possible none the less.

That contract only allows clubs to be given permission to talk to a player,thats why the clubs themselves never disclose it.His agent did.This is what has given Blackburn the hump.United had permission to talk to Jones,have a medical and agree personal terms.However his registration has yet to be handed over by Blackburn and the deal has yet to be ratified by the FA.Blackburn can and will demand more money.It will likely be £4-£5 million in add-ons.

 

Just post some evidence of you having knowledge of the wording in his actual contract and then we will give what you say some credence, until then you are less reliable than the metro

I mentioned that earlier.There could be something in that contract that says the release clause applies to all clubs except Manchester United.
This will never be disclosed to anyone,the media etc.I heard a rumour that,one like that is in Pepe Reinas'.He has a release clause but it applies to all clubs except Manchester United.

KPR - His contract states release clause. Meet it and agree personal terms means the transfer fee is automatically agreed. Blackburn have no leg to stand on. We wont pay a penny more. Seriously, do you think clubs have to offer £16million just to talk to a player? Its not how it works.

Unless you are a lawyer that knows exactly the wording in that contract,then don't speculate.
It seems you're getting your legal expertise from twitter.Thats like getting the the formula for the theory of relativity from Wayne Rooney.
Blackburn for all you know may have put in terms when agreeing that release clause to protect themselves.All businesses do so.

 

As I said, the Man U fans, just can't grasp the concept. Lets look at it like a house. You will sell your house, as long as someone offers you more that £35,000 (about right for a manc slum ;-) ) and you get three offers, £35,000, £37,000 and £42,000. Which one are you going to accept? the £35,000, just because it arrived first, and they've already had an structural survey done? Or are you going to tell them to get lost and accept the £42,000 offer?

I take it you have seen the contract then have you ?

The point is that nobody has the the contract on here, nobody knows if Liverpool have made a bid, therefore this whole thread is based on speculation

 

That is totally different. If you sell your house I doubt you would have a minimum release clause ?

If it is an minimum release clause the the 16 million will seal the deal even if someone offered 25 million. A minimum relase clause usually means if the fee is met by any club then the player can leave.

 

Thats a bit better although it is only a tiny bit of what you said. Still proves nothing about blackburn having to sell to utd if several clubs are willing to meet the buy out.

Just a question, if the release clause is as definate as some are saying, why have LFC, arsenal etc put bids in for over £20M?

Pretty sure whilst blackburn hold his registration they can sell to who they want to, but would others want to buy if he dug his heels in, it would probably then come down to brinksmanship between all parties involved, but that is all just speculation on my part
