It's funny, but if you see any photos of Gaston with a Saints shirt on he looks as if a puff of wind would blow him away. Here he looks as though a bolt on either side of his neck would just finish off the picture.

Just gotta find places that will show all our games at 2am. The Italy game is during the IOW Festival so that should be sorted.

EDIT: Ah, that's the only 2am kick off in the group, beautiful.

Hmmm.....Tancredi suggesting that it may have all been a fix as an account tweeted the Argentina group over 20 hours ago, plus stated that Italy would have to be moved. The account is here - https://twitter.com/FraudeMundial14

We're playing the opening match of the tournament against Brazil. It's a dream scenario. Whole world will be watching and we have a glorious opportunity to give a good account of ourselves. Could you imagine the headlines if we somehow beat Brasil on their home turf?

And also worth mentioning - former Arsenal striker, Eduardo Da Silva, will play for Croatia against his homeland on the opening match of the World Cup. Stuff dreams our made of.

How optimistic are Croatians generally about Niko Kovac as a manager? He's got a good squad at his disposal but he'll need to get them playing better than Stimac did or it's going to be a hell of a challenge for you. I presume Mandzukic will be suspended for at least the Brazil game? If key players like Modric and Srna play to their best I can see you getting through the group.

I have a question: why is England v Italy the only game kicking off after 11 pm GMT. I assume it is to do with Manaus and the heat but then why solely this fixture?

It's hard to say how good Kovac is as a manager, as he has no previous experience, having so far only managed youth teams. We presume he will insist on a high work rate and discipline. After all, he spent his whole life and football career in Germany and those are the values he holds most dear as a person and as a manager.

But he is a football icon in Croatia, a former captain of the national team, highly lauded for his footballing abilities, influence on the pitch and leadership. People have very fond memories of him and he is considered to be a humble, down-to-eart hard-working kind of person and a great patriot. All in all, a person Croatians are happy to thrust the job on.

And yes, Mandzukic will miss the opening game. Simunic could also miss if he gets punished for his pro-nazi chants after the win against Iceland. A chance for Lovren!

It's in a different time zone, I think they are 2 hours behind Rio. Which is two hours behind us, but by world cup time, that will be four so six for Manaus.

Hi Odds, if we had played in B.H. first I would consider it, I may still go for the 1st week there and try to see a game ot two, I don't mind who is playing.

The Mineirão is a great stadium, nice views from all parts, it's easy to get to from the town centre.

Haven spent a couple of weeks around that area, I can wholeheartedly agree with Roy. High 30s in near 100% humidity plus I can almost garentee that the pitch will be horrible, the average council park will have better playing surfaces
