    Not a ****ing chance!!!

  2. If he continues to score at the rate he is, he stands to get 47 (ish) goals this season <yikes>

He'll NEVER usurp King Kenny. For a start, he won't be here long enough. He is an amazing ****ing player though.

  4. I think its a bit like the Ryan Giggs argument if someone asks you if he was Fergies best player? Over a sustained period of time? Yes. In terms of quality at one time, aka best player of the year? No.

Suarez has the ability to be better in terms of quality than Kenny but he'll not do it over the length of time Dalglish did. However, the reason I said no chance is because of the none football stuff. For me, this is part of why Kenny is held in such high regard.

Sky Sports will never be as good as Kenny.

Suarez could be, but I agree that he needs to do it consistently over a period greater than we're likely to see him at the club.
The none-football stuff is irrelevant when discussing his qualities as a footballer, but does come into play when considering his iconic status at the club.

To be as good or overtake Kenny he needs to be at Liverpool for the rest of his career<ok>

Kenny had something that Suarez does not have. Kenny could put his foot on the ball and dictate play. He made goals for others and he scored them. As importantly he made others play.

Now Suarez is a brilliant player. He is a fantastic individual goal scorer. He is also learning to play as part of a team. However, he does not have that strategic mind set that Kenny had.

From what I see, off the pitch they are very similar. 'Homebirds' who like to stay out of the limelight. On the pitch they are different. Both are creative geniuses but Kenny could/did restrain his temper whereas Suarez has not learnt that - yet!

Like others, I doubt that Suarez will be here long enough to test my opinion - but I truly wish that he would.

    Very Warrington that mate <whistle>

I think the answer is simple. If we are talking legend status then no. Kenny is about so much more to LFC than just the player he was.

In terms of talent he's a top top player just as Kenny was. They are different in many ways though and it's always tough to compare players from different eras. Imagine Suarez in a Liverpool team of the 80's with the likes of Souness, Molby or Barnes supplying him ammo and Rushie as a strike partner <yikes> Equally imagine Kenny with todays manicured pitches and the extra protection given by referees (except Dowd of course).

The main difference in terms of ability (as of now) is consistency. Kenny played at a top top level, game after game, season after season for years. Suarez is still too in and out to be compared (mainly because of his stupid bloody suspensions).

As naturally talented with a ball? Undoubtedly yes, but "as good as Kenny"? Not a chance.

Either way though Wednesday night was a joy to behold and goals that will live long in the memory for all of us <ale>

this is really simple. if luis suarez stayed for another 4/5 years and score goals and won championships then yeah stick him up there with dalglish and gerrard but he's going in the summer so the cokc sucking diamond ear ring wearing arsenal ****wit can lick my asshole.

I saw Kenny score goals with his right foot, left foot, head, direct from corners, after mazy runs, with his famous back to goal tactic, I also saw him lay goals on plate for Rush, Davie Johnno, and others year after year with pinpoint passes, accurate through balls, overhead kicks etc etc.

    Who the **** is Suarez.<grr>

what a team. Ray Kennedy, Jimmy Case, Tommo and Emlyn. Kennedy and Case were very under-rated imo. <ok>

Better player than Kenny was for Liverpool? no. Better player than Dalglish? yes. Wake up he's the 3rd best player in the world in a time where we've arguably seen the 2 greatest players ever.

suarez is suarez... just enjoy it for the next 6 months cos after that he's gone. this is pointless. kenny was world class in his day we were very lucky to have him too.

have we seen the best two players ever... F no. ronaldo is not that good. messi just might be but to compare ronaldo to fat ronaldo, zidane, maradonna... we have seen 2/3 in every generation this good.

I'd argue against that to be fair.
