LEEDS v WATFORD From:http://espnfc.com/league/_/id/eng.2/english-championship?cc=5901 Leeds will still be without striker Dexter Blackstock and defender Scott Wootton against Watford. Blackstock, on loan from Nottingham Forest, has missed the last two games due to a knee injury, while Wootton remains sidelined with the ankle injury he sustained in the recent win at Charlton. Matt Smith started up front alongside leading goalscorer Ross McCormack, in the midweek win against Wigan, the latter shook off a hip injnury in time, but Luke Varney provides boss Brian McDermott with an alternative option.Right-back Sam Byram and left-back Stephen Warnock are pushing for recalls as Leeds chase a sixth straight home win. Watford have received an injury boost as they welcome back four players for their trip. Winger Ikechi Anya (calf), midfielder Josh McEachran, goalkeeper Manuel Almunia (both illness) and defender Gabriele Angella (thigh) have all missed out of late but return to the fold at Elland Road. nfluential midfielder Almen Abdi is also back in training as he looks to make his comeback from a long-term foot injury but the game is expected to come too soon. Lloyd Doyley (hamstring), Essaid Belkalem (ankle) and Tommie Hoban (ankle) remain on the sidelines as the Hornets target a first win in eight matches. COMMENTS WELCOME (NO LEEDS WUMs) ENJOY THE GAME !! Hope we win, would take a draw and a good performance again though. Need to stop McCormack and the rest might follow.
Thanks Mex Big defensive improvement in the week, lets hope that that we can keep that going and someone finds their shooting boots.
Will save the wumming for after but this will be 3-1 to Leeds. You won't stop McCormack, and Murphy and Smith are due one. All this changes if Varney starts, if he does you win 1-0.
I would rather he be under a bus than on one. The worst player I have ever seen. Runs round lots but is utter crap.
I for one have never see Watford lose this season... and I have only been to away games...... and I shall be going tomorrow
Going to my second game of the season, hoping for a repeat of the 5-1 against Barnsley. Worried my hopes may be in vein... We do seem to relish a trip to Yorkshire though, but then again, how could anyone not!
why would anyone dare do that? Should be a good game this, slightly worried our run at home may come to a halt. Hoping for Ross to continue scoring though and another good win, we shall see I guess
It's bizarre in the roses counties - our record in Yorkshire is much better than that in Lancashire. I wonder if seeing a WFC membership card from the year I was born on national TV this morning is an omen (here's hoping). I'm referring to this video being on MTV Xmas: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tSJMSnj6UUM
Today's team: Bond; Faraoni, Nosworthy, Ekstrand, Pudil; Bellerin, Battocchio, Thorne, McGugan, Anya; Deeney. subs: Woods, Hall, Cassetti, Iriney, Murray, Fabbrini, Forestieri. Looks like 4-5-1 again.
Off topic, but wtf is going at Blackpool? Another 2 sent off against Derby and a spanking as well. Ince must be so proud.
