Thats a disappointing total so far. When you consider how many that we know of from this site who have joined but are unable to attend games. If you guess at 600 season pass holders, its not good. I dont see the numbers increasing greatly after what i thought would be an initial surge.

Less than a thousand CTWD members after such a concerted campaign is very poor.

Also less than 7000 signatures on a petition that's been going for 4 months with Mr Allam providing CTWD with all the ammunition they could dream of.

At the moment I don't think CTWD even qualifies as a minority...Must try harder chaps.

If you started a yes to Hull tigers fc group do you think it would be overwhelmed with takers?most people are lazy when it comes to campaigning.

This ^ I haven't even joined myself yet, and i'm outraged and embarrassed at the thought of my club changing it's proud name. If you can put me in that "lazy" bracket, it's easy to see why the ctwd membership isn't huge.

Obviously more is better, but as long as the 20 or so in the organising group carry on as they are with the excellent work, it's plenty. <ok>

The OSC has been going for over ten years and has 1,800 members, the CTWD membership has been going for a week and has 870 members and has so far only been available online, with the inaugural launch event happening ahead of the Stoke game.

We're more than happy with the way things are going.

    They have...

@YesToHullTigers has 100 followers on Twitter and the Hull Tigers Facebook page has 65 likes.

@NoToHullTigers has 2864 followers on Twitter and the NoToHullTigers Facebook page has 2884 likes.

I think it's fairly obvious which is the minority.

If only Mr Allam had put in such an effort into giving us a business plan on how he reckons people in the Far East will suddenly drop Barcelona, Real Madrid, Liverpool, United, Chelsea (the names go on) and support us.

    C'mon Craig it's been 4 months & we've heard nowt.

Still better than 200 though, eh?

It must've annoyed you hearing "we'll die when we want" against Liverpool & seeing their fans clapping us.

I wouldn't be too bothered about it(but do join).I've been involved in campaigns before and it's usually this way.In fact the strenghth of support can work against you as people think they don't really need to put their head above the parapet.
Craigs comment has just pushed me over the edge so CTWD have just gained another member.

And much better than 75, but not quit a majority yet.

Regarding the whole name change thing my preference has always been 'Hull City Tigers' which probably means I represent the sensible compromise option.
And considering CTWD rarely mention 'AFC' any more (but like me want to maintain 'City') and Mr Allam definitely wants 'Tigers' I'm sure I must have strong support from both camps... <whistle>

CTWD want to keep the whole name. As they said in their statements/ campaign notes.

Hull City Tigers is as bad as Hull Tigers and shouldn't be even thought about.

There's far too many Tiger references at City, and it overshadows our actual name. We were HCAFC before we were nicknamed the Tigers, and before we had the Tigers badge & our current kit colour.

'AFC' doesn't have to be 'mentioned' - we are, after all. an Association Football Club. As you well know, oh History Man. So leave the Red Herrings out, please.

We are Hull City and we're also 'The Tigers' as you also know. We're just not Hull City Tigers, nor Hull Tigers.

    Ridiculous.

A compromise between what? Our proper name and.....? What are the advantages of any other name? There are none, so there's no such thing as compromise when there is only one option of any merit.

So not a compromise at all. Or sensible.

The really sad thing is none of you posted anything about wanting us to change our name before Allam came up with it. It's only because he wants it that makes certain people defend him out of loyalty, and others defend him just to be contrary because the rest of us don't like it.

If he said he wanted to slaughter a random fan at half time every home match there'd be some who defend it.
