2 more big tides expected tomorrow apparently

 

Morning lamby.
Some of the damage on the prom at home is frightening mate. Just seen some photos, looks like a bomb had been dropped on it, Massive chunks of concrete ripped up.
Once the tides have dropped, there will be one hell of a cleaning up and salvage operation

This is what's left of my mate's cafe on the seafront. I'm gutted for him

If anyone has been to Sheringham, they will have walked past his cafe, and possibly had a brew there. It's just before the lifeboat shed.

He has now got to wait to see what the council surveyor says on whether they condemn it or not.
He has already said, if they give him the go ahead, he will do everything he can to get it rebuilt and ready for after Christmas.
He has been flooded a few times before, but never anything on this scale.

 

Exactly mate. They've got one more high tide to get through tonight, and then the tides drop a fair bit.
That's when they will see the true amount of damage done, although it looks bad enough as it is without having anymore.

Must admit, I've never seen damage like that before

 

Not everything was badly damaged. This little feller somehow survived being tossed about a bit and was later released safely.
The seal protection people turned up to take him away, but apparently he made a helluva noise, and suddenly his 'mum' turned up just offshore. The little feller started to move to down the stones, but had to be given a helping hand because of the damage, and then swam off with his 'mum'.
