Just talking about football. I watched our game, I know how it went...just wondering if the confidence you guys had before the game was borne out on the pitch...
But if you're going to be a sensitive little ****er about it I'll wait until MOTD. :)

I just asked you a perfectly reasonable question and you abuse me. You seem to come across as a thread spoiler. Nothing more, nothing less.

    Just confirms it for me.

To be fair it shows how well Swansea have done that they now have plastics.

Unfortunately theyve got thousands of Boyce fans in the stadium as well.

Hope you had a good live stream sounds as though "your?" team played well.

Beats supporting Man U on the TV though.

I was there in the 4th division mate but keep believing that I'm a plastic if you must, whatever helps you to deal with the bitterness.

It'll be a long ****ing wait lads for the day MM tries to turn a draw away from home into a win in the last 10 minutes.

We missed chances tonight (so did Stoke), I think MM sees that as justification for the tactics. He'll surely talk about being more clinical and decision making. He might well be right. At the vast majority of away games in this league going at the home side will result in trouble for us.

4 points clear of the bottom 3. A winnable away up next, but I bet MM would take a draw if you offered it now. Tbh to keep Palace 4 behind, I'd probably take a draw if I could too.

Stoke might not be Arsenal but they've been in this league for ages. A point away from home in the PL always has to be regarded as 1 gained rather than 2 lost IMO.

True point gained. BUT that team selection and picking a player struggling so badly just doesnt make sense.

Kim,Noone,Odemwingie, Mason , Bellamy surely all improve that line up ahead of Gunner.

0-0, i think we all knew the game would be tighter than jinks, but as hilts said on here, playing whitts and cowie on the wings means no width. i maintain odemwingie should start more, he makes things happen and is our only genuinly proven attacker.

hope he starts v crystal palace, we may have a chance of 3 points then.

overall, we got a draw in a must not lose game, credit has to go to malky for setting out a game plan to get a 0-0 and keep the points tally ticking over........<ok>

I thought we were abysmal, Gunnarsson continues to be a liability and almost cost us the game, looked to me like he played the guy onside for the disallowed goal. The only positive for me is that we didn't lose.

He does like to stick by certain players.

I think MM desperately wants the best version of Gunnar in the side, problem is he won't accept what is plain for everyone to see that Gunnar is terrribly out of form.

Noone was a game changer v Man U. He gave us some go forward and earned the free kick for the equaliser. Its really winding me up how little we've seen of him. Could have moved Cowie in for Gunnar and brought Noone on early in the 2nd half when we were playing quite well and tried to build on that momentum.

But in fairness to MM we've only lost at WH and Villa out of our relegation rivals away from home. Sparkey has talked about '4 pointing those sides' around us. MM has us on course for that.

0-0's all round for the prediction league on Saturday?

The central midfield 3 should be an easy selection if everyone is fit.

    3 from Whitts , Medel , Kim , Mutch.

Saying that I suppose we are playing a central midfield 5!!!!!!

    Its not entertaining is it?

Away from home it isn't pretty, but he's 'putting us in' the match each time. Since WH, we've had a chance in every away game except Chelsea and we weren't doing too badly there until the ref ****ed it. I am sure we would have eventually lost there without the ref, but you never know.

I raised the question a few weeks ago, why was he going to spend 8 mill on Ince? Was he going to play him in the Mutch/Kimbo role off the striker because if he was going to play a winger then Noone has had 15 minutes against Man U and proved himself worthy of much more of a chance.

I think MM understands that he simply must keep us up to keep his job. He's a very pragmatic sort of manager and he probably believes these hard earned points will keep us up. We look the sort of side capable of getting around the 40pt mark, experience of previous seasons suggests a few points here or there really could be the difference.

The obvious counter argument is that's why we need to turn tight games into wins but the last one at Villa we turned into a loss. That 0-0 last night felt a lot better! I'm sure it'll be more of the same at Palace but you never know Malky might surprise us........

Stoke away from home was always going to be a tight affair but I feel an opportunity was lost by setting up not to lose. I haven't seen the game yet so will reserve judgement.

Like you Taff, I'll have to reserve judgement.

Haven't seen any of the game last night through committments, but it looks like it's going to plan to me. Looking at the side, Malky set out for a point with that lineup and got it.

Was Gunnar that bad? I only ask because I did say I thought Malky would play him last night in the middle but was surprised to see Cowie in there as well instead of Noone. The whole thing smacks of no width and lack of pace.

It's pretty clear to me that on the footballing front, this season is going to be a washout. Most will say it'll be justified if we stay up, and they're probably right, but by any standards this stuff is dire to watch.

I've said loads of time about the need to target 4 points from these sort of sides, and to that extent we're more or less on course after away games at Stoke, Norwich, Hull and the bonus of all three at Fulham. We've obviously got all these at home later in the season to put a few more nails in their coffins.

Another crucial game on Saturday may well see more of the same and I'd take that at the expense of footballing plaudits from the pundits. I'd like to see us develop into a more expansive format as the season progresses and we entertain these guys at the CCS, otherwise this is going to be bloody hard work to watch.

It is not worth watching Taff.

We set up not to lose against a poor Stoke side low on confidence we should have had at least some width with Noone or Bellamy even.
Im starting to believe that Malky is not the man to take us to the next level !!!

I think MM is trying to keep us in this division before taking us to the next level. Make us hard to beat and sneak a few wins to get us 17th or above. If he does that, another couple signings next year to provide more fire power. I agree though, not pretty and very low risk which often results in little reward.

Back 5 aside, Medel must be the first name on the team sheet. I think over the last few weeks, Mutch has made his the second. It's what you play around that is the question.
