I know he isn't everyone's cup of tea but WOW, if you just watched this tennis match he has just absolutely destroyed Roddick. Sending out a message ahead of Wimbledon here.
Watching it now. I hope that James Ward wins his as well, would be great to see Murray v Ward in the final. I'm not a Murray fan, he's too miserable and Scottish for my liking.
Not a fan of tennis. I sometimes watch Murray when it's Wimbledon, but don't get too much into it as i would the football or cricket. Got the Ward match on, he doesn't look like he'll do it, that Tsonga looks too strong for him. Wasn't he a wildcard anyway?
I was not a fan of Andy Murray until I saw him live. I watched him beat Verdasco and he was brilliant. I was sat near where the players leave and afterwards he spent ages signing autographs. Today he was exceptional.
If he had a better on court personality I think Murray would be more popular like Henman was despite the latter not being as good as Andy.
Neither has alot of stuff on here. It's silly season and no football to talk about, also we're gunna have to talk about something to entertain ourselves during this period or the board will go dormant for 3/4 months.
This: http://newsthump.com/2011/06/08/andy-murray-to-watch-wimbledon-final-in-3d/ is how I feel about Murray.
When i imagine what TWF/Percival looks like Andy Murrays face comes into my mind, he's got that moaning spoilt aura about him. Murray is far better than Henman though, he is just unlucky to be up against the likes of Nadal. Djokovic, and Federer who are all much better than him.
How often is Wimbledon won by a finalist from Queens? All I really know about tennis is that Queens is the warm up event for a lot of players, and that the common complaint about Murray is his inability to go the distance in games at Grand Slams due to fatigue creeping in. It doesn't seem like a good idea for him to use this tournament as a way of sending a message if others are taking it easy and just getting their eye back in for playing on grass
murray dispatched him in less than an hour without even breaking sweat, I doubt he was even out of breath.
Queens is the first Grass tourny of the season, it has always attracted the big names. Nadal was there and Djokovic only missed out owing to injury. Becker, Sampras, Nadal and Roddick have all won it and then done well at Wimbledon and it is considered an excellent place to send a message, at least 6 people have won it and Wimbledon in the same year though. His tennis yesterday against one of the modern games most consistent performers was fantastic. Winning any tournament has to be good for morale going into a massive tournament like Wimbledon. Tsonga will be a different challenge today though, he has more facets to his play than Roddick, but Murray has won their last 3 meetings.
The players that aren't at Queens are at some tournament in Germany, so they're pretty much all playing warm-up tournaments this week.
