For a player who's given you 8 years service, don't you think this is a bit of an ungainly end to his Liverpool career? I'm sure he's not squeaky clean, as there's no doubt he was fluttering his eyelashes at Barca, but surely once the decision to replace him had been made, his departure could have been better handled & therefore removing the bitterness that's resulted from the player.
Maybe but life goes on and we have a new keeper. It would have been nice for us to give him a good send off though.
I'd have maybe started by speaking to him about his position & explaining the financial necessity of why he had to go out on loan & that it'd be better for him anyway, as he was far too good a player to be sat on the bench...........
Can't really argue with that.. Football (other sports too) maybe cut throat but a bit of respect (from both sides) wouldn't/shouldn't be too much to ask for. I'm very happy we've got Mignolet but I'll always appreciate/respect the job Pepe done for us!

Pepe Reina: I want to quit Liverpool and join Barcelona next summer http://metro.co.uk/2013/12/04/pepe-...rpool-and-join-barcelona-next-summer-4214177/
Bit disrespectful to Napoli. I can understand him saying he wants to leave Liverpool for good and it's obvious he will but you'd think he'd say he's keeping his options open in case Barca don't come in for him.
in fairness to mingolet average is a reasonable thing to say given the fact that our forwards don't seem to want to be a target or move to a channel for him to aim at. compared to jones he's great. Reian is a top top top keeper and we bloody miss him i can tell you!
