This is turning out to be a tough series for England. They need any result here to stay in contention. Australia win the toss and choose to bat.
WICKET!!! Warner is the first to go for 29. Caught by Carberry bowled by Broad, Aussie's 34-1. A crucial wicket. Good start for England. please log in to view this image
Agree nines, we need to get something out of this one. Great start and lets hope we can do something with the bat when we get a chance. Dont think our fielding is really the problem.
Good morning Queens. You're right there mate. You can't do anything without runs on the board. It was the batsmen that failed us in the first test.

Cheers Grif, But we've got it on live in the office !! Might see if my PC in my office can get it though !
Cheers Grif, but I've got it in 3D. It's so realistic that I dozed off and when I woke up the friggin Aussie's had swiped my six pack of Castelmaine xxxx off of my coffee table.
Ahhhhhh, that's nice that is .................. now were getting the blame for stealing our own beer back .................. not likely. Couldn't give a fourex, really !
Seems to have been a fairly even day, could have been even better if Carberry had held that last chance.......Have to try and find some highlights to have a look at later.
Havent seen too much but i think we dropped about 3. They WILL make us pay if w carry on like that!! Need to get some early wickets tomorrow and then get in to bat...! cannot afford to lose this one as the pessure is cranking up again in the press !!
Think you're right Queens, seems that we dropped 3 catches.....not good. If Aussies get 450+ we are in real trouble, would need to score close to 600 and then hope Monty & Swan can do the business without having to bat last on a turning pitch....
A decent day for England given that they lost the toss - however they may well regret those dropped catches
If Aussie can get 450, that may cause some tension amongst the English team. If this was to happen, it could prove to be a good thing for England providing someone puts their hand up and leads ................. the others will follow. Confidence can do wonders. Miss catches ( 3 ) only pale into insignificance if the opposition do likewise ................ otherwise, they will bite you on the bum.
You must be chuffed Aussie with the way your side are performing....still early days but must be some confidence around based on first test...
That Carberry drop could prove to be crucial. Haddon averages over 100 at that ground! Would have been England's day had they got 1 or 2 more wickets. As it is, the morning session is vital and may well decide the series.
I am mate but as you say, it's early days and things can change quicker than the Melbourne weather ( well, nearly )
Just drove into work and they were reporting on the radio that Giles Clarke (who-ever the F he is in cricket) want England to not play at the Gabba again. He's not happy with the way we were treated apparently? I assume he was talking about the team? Now some of the fans were treated badly by the stewards & police, which is very unusual for the Gabba, but I dont think the team got anymore stick than normal? Anyone got any further info on this sublect?
