How will a team with no manager play better than a team with a manager??? Why do you think all league clubs have a manager? Read the point below and I concede that a new manager might be better, but just removing Hughton and not replacing him would surely make us even worse than we are now, no?!
Did you actually read it? If you're not in a position to decide who in then you are in no position to sack Hughton, sorry. Maybe the board have made the decision that Hughton IS good enough.
To be fair, at 4-1 there's not a lot to get excited about. I don't know who I want in the dugout any more. If we keep picking up points against the bottom 6/7 teams then we can stay up, but losing by 3 or 4 goals to any team with European aims isn't good enough, and the manner of the defeats are getting increasingly hard to take.
So why do you bother coming on a forum. You can't possibly have an opinion on anything to do with the football club because it makes no difference, you can't think a player should be dropped, or put in, or substituted, or should have scored, should have passed. Regardless, the decisions must be perfect because they are in charge. There is little point in you being on here to be honest.
You can have an opinion, Hughton out for Zola in is perfectly valid. But Hughton out for the sake of Hughton out is not. What you need to do is think who you want to replace Hughton, that is a perfectly valid opinion. I'm not criticising anyone for wanting Zola or even McKay in, I'm only criticising people who say Hughton out self-destructively
Neither you at the moment. You are a broken record, we could just look up your comments from 4 months ago if we want your opinion.
True. Recent thrashings and poor performances have been enough for me. But equally I'm prepared to accept that if results take a significant turn for the better over the medium term, my opinion should and will change.
Absolutely this On that basis, if CH walked or got fired tomorrow, I would not be unhappy. We can point to the fact that most of the teams we have played so far are in the top half, so the fixture list to an extent has conspired against us, but I have not seen a display this season that has made me feel comfortable that we would finish the game with a win (when we take the lead - not even the West Ham game)), or drawing when we are actually level - more so at away games.
In fairness a manager is often sacked before a replacement has been identified so I'm with carrabuh he needs to go regardless of who will come in, put Neil Adams in charge temporary until Moyes gets sacked then it's sorted !
Pretty stupid to sack someone with no plan of who will come in. However Im sure DM has a list of people he would approach if the time came.
Not looking all the managers in Europe to find my ideal solution is not the same as saying put anyone in charge.
Theres never been a run of games or performances to warrant a change of mind. In fact, with most passing weeks my view just gets reinforced
My argument is why put someone with absolutely no experience at this level, and possibly not even the required coaching badges, in charge for potentially up to a month whilst we hunt for a replacement, rather than sticking with a manager who despite his failings, does still have us 4 points outside the relegation zone?
Other than the time CH has had with us (which has been very up and down), he only previously had a few months at this level, so we did not exactly get an experienced manger last time. okay, this is more a long term thought process as opposed to the short term you are talking about, but the point remains - we did not rely on experience when PL left, so it is not unrealistic that we could easily do it again, but the next one might prove to be a little better.
