Don't know if you guys already seen this, but I saw this live on Eurosport and was like WOW!

I know the first thought that goes into most people's head is Allan, but my first thought of concern was the people in the firing line unprotected. Luckily nobody got killed there...

So....so......so bloody lucky..... every major part that fell off that car didn't hit anybody I think....

That's what marshals have to face nearly every weekend, and they dont get paid for it unless it's a major event like this.

There are fences between the run-off and the grandstand. I think the people in front of the fences were photographers and marshals.

Lucky all round there, the whole car nearly jumped the barrier.

It was an 'oh ****' moment when I saw that.

What made me laugh afterwards was the UK Eurosport commentary team bemoaning the fact that the shark fin that is on the back of the Audi's and Pegueot's to stop the car flipping over if they go sideways at speed, apparently didn't stop the Audi from flipping over!

    Are they flipping mental!?

Mike Rockenfeller - it was worse. Full speed down mulsanne, another GTE-Am driver to blame

I think you are a bit hard in apportioning blame to the AM drivers.

Maybe not with McNish's crash but the Am driver squeezing Rockenfeller out is indefensible! Its not like he just sprung upon him he was flashing the beams about half a mile back

The two crashes were practically identical apart from the fact that one was in daylight and the other was at night.

None of the commentators has blamed the Ferrari drivers.

Is it just AM drivers that crash?

I think a few drivers in various classes have made silly mistakes and some under safety car conditions.

Granted but the unwrittenrule seems to be that stay on your racing line and the lapping driver will deal with the overtake. Both Am drivers took a different line (especially the Rockenfeller crash) to their racing one. I seem to recall the commentators having quite a go at the Ferrari that squeezed out Rockenfeller with only one coming to his support saying he was maybe dazzled by the combination of high beams and a white cockpit

What a crash that was! I have to say I didn't realise the F1 board had taken off like it had.

I might have to be on more regulary!

    Flipping great AllSaints

Joking aside, lucky no-one was seriously injured. McNish I know your Scottish mate, but if you want to toss things in the air like that, ffs stick to cabers......

LOL after penalising Hamilton for his Overtakes at Monaco, Karma striking back :p , glad he was OK though. He shot through should have waited until teh straight until over taking.

Obviously lost his head , and should major immaturity tut tut

I don't think you can really accuse Allan McNish of immaturity, he's won Le Mans twice and pretty much raced everything going. It's a race, he went for the move and made a mistake, with those closing speeds you get major accidents. What has Hamilton and Karma got to do with anything?

Anyone seen the Rockenfeller incident? I've only seen some really poor footage of it, anyone know if he's ok?
