Despite the own goal, Skrtel's still been one of our better defenders. No problems with him playing. Allen over Lucas? Lucas has been our best midfielder (Gerrard only does set pieces well which seems to mean he had a great game overall) so unless he's getting a rest, no clue why he's been dropped for the useless Allen. Sterling still on the pitch. Beats me. Not deserved on the basis of any game this past year. He was talking only today about Aspas and Alberto needing to show what they can do; yup, they're on the bench. Maybe they can warm up impressively. Nothing less than a win tonight, I hope BR's got this right and the players have a firecracker up their arse.
Lucas has been poor in my opinion. No where near the high standards we know he can perform at. No problem with him being rested/dropped against Norwich
Alot seem to say that, but I don't see it. It's been long discussed and I still feel (whilst not 100% back to how he was under Kenny) he's been playing well, breaking up alot of the play, covering the fullbacks and passing forward. If Norwich either pack the midfield, press or counter with pace, we'd ****ed with Allen, Hendo and Gerrard.
right along side this, lucas has been below par, passing and ball retention has been shocking. I'm quite looking forward to seeing allen, hopefully in the DM position starting attacks off rather than in the AM position trying to play killer balls.
Liverpool v Norwich (1945 GMT) What's the age limit on mascots?Liverpool's choice may be pushing the limits. He's as big as Steven Gerrard and is even going through the routine of blowing his cheeks out and shaking his head from side-to-side. Maybe he thinks he's actually playing... How embarrasing
Norwich seem a bit confident. We defo need an early goal in this one to take the wind out of their sails
