Alberto has to be on the pitch to score Suggests Alberto may have needed a bit of time to adjust in training though. I think he's looked pretty good.
This would be a great time for Aspas to shine but I just don't see it happening to be honest. Alberto has looked tidy when he has played but he has had no real impact on the first team but at least he is young and has time to develop unlike Aspas.
From what I've seen Alberto is never going to have a huge impact on the goal scoring. Looks like they type to provide rather than score. Aspas, who knows. Did well for Celta... But as others have said, they need to be on the pitch to score.
Well at Barca B ( totally different level) he had 11 goals and I think 17-18 assists so maybe it depends on the confidence and position? He looked pretty good in pre-season and I liked his late runs in the box and he was awarded with a great volley to score in pre-season as well. Let's see, maybe Rodgers has a plan to introduce both players in the game at some point ( 60-75 minute mark).
Alberto is a goal scoring midfielder - he's not afraid of taking shots etc. He's a tidy player, think a loan next season would be good for him. I think Aspas will come good IMO - he had a good preseason (yeah, I know it's just a pre season) and also impressed in the Stoke game. Struggled since but he definitely has something about him. Given time and opportunity, he could be a good squad player. However, rumours are that Valencia are interested in taking him on loan in January.
