I agree with you in terms of the contract, 16m, 22m or 35m all get accepted. And the player chooses which one, and from his POV Man Utd would be the best to win trophies and develop in comparison to Liverpool, but he has grown up in Blackburn R FC and they can blackmail him saying they have took him in and developed him and the least he could do is go to the club which gives the most money as a way of repaying the club, but it is most likely he'll come to us, well I hope so.

Lmao. Delighted that we've got him. Looks like a class act. Has been a real stand out player for Blackburn and was brilliant against us. Jones and Smalling could be a really good partnership for years to come. And yes, I know I was less than convinced about the signing of Smalling a year ago but I gotta hand it to him. He had an impressive debut season and if he can continue to progress, he and Jones could be the new Vidic and Ferdinand. Here's hoping!

And as for this talk of a Liverpool £22 million deal, let's get realistic here. There is no way this has occured. They could bid £50 million. It would make no difference to the release clause and there is no business sense in making such a move because it cannot influence the seller.

not racist, just stating the truth.

venkys are absolutely clueless. idiots of the highest order. not only do they not know what a release clause means, despite seemingly being in charge of a major company, they also demanded big sam to deliver champions league football with a transfer budget of £6 million <laugh>

    they're not from this planet

Pin this thread as a reference for stupidity.

If someone makes a stupid thread or post in the future, this can be the bench mark.

This thread is so embarrassing. Nohlman why do you think you are some kind of ITK? Do you think you are a journalist or something? The things you say are ridiculous and nobody believes anything you type for a minute.

Answer me this, why are you actually stating that Liverpool have won the battle? Also why do you then state United have signed him OFFICIAL. It's not official is it so do everyone here a favour and shut up with your rubbish posts. They are so boring.
