Three good, well-worked goals. Charlie certainly deserved more credit than he was given on Sky Sports News last night - they said he 'diverted the ball into the net' when he did far more than that. Junior did well, he certainly tried lifting it into the far corner, and the deflections on the way didn't really make that much difference. And Matty's goal is class all the way through. Shame when we did hit three, they went past a former QPR stopper. Good to see Camp back at LR. Did he get a decent welcome?

Shows that the initial handball was in fact outside the area, so the officials got that part right at least, but he should have been sent off. I've read numerous reports from people/journos saying the handball was well inside the area.

 

I thought it looked more like Adel.

 

Great to re-watch those goals from last night's game - AJ a big part of the play on the first two, and what a cracking individual effort by Matty Phillips. In hindsight a good thing that Charlie Austin didn't connect on the cross that led to Junior Hoilett's goal.

The crowd in the Loft were slagging Lee Camp when Phillips goal went in. They were basically saying, thanks for letting the goal in Lee. He was shrugging his shoulders saying it was such a bullet, he had no chance. There was a bit of banter going on. Reminded me of previous years when he played for us.

The video on the handball is not clear. The players feet were outside the box but the upper half of his body was in the box. If he did handle it, it was a definite penno and a sending off.

That was my 7th trip over this season and I have seen 7 victories. Thanks to the little angel above who is bringing me such good luck. The bad news is I won't be going again until the Huddersfield game on 18th January.

Beth, sorry I missed you last night. I was looking for you in the C&S. Met a couple of Norwegian lads in there last night from the West of Norway. Norway, you are not alone. I also met an Irish R who I first met at our get together in Kilkenny and Goose R, Nutsy's mate.

 

First contact with his left hand well outside the box, good decision.

 

No penalty, no sending off. He got it right. Can't be sure that he handled the ball deliberately.

 

But he was last man so he should have received a straight red card.

 

Possibly, but would have been harsh, his arm was on the floor as he slid, made no movement towards the ball which hit him, rather than the other way round. Anyway who cares, we scored 3 goals.
