Cheers pal. The hard part was catching you! As I'd said, I was relying on the pits but that wasn't quite what I meant. I thought I'd need a lap or two on my own (ie pit before everyone else) to get passed a lot of Al cars but I managed to get passed them anyway. The one lap earlier stop gave me the better tyres after you had stopped, thats how I caught you.
Was you watching me catching beforehand too? I got to ninth on first lap and then just kept picking them off. I bet you was thinking "oh ****, he's coming"
That's what I said. The first lap after pitting is about wearing your tyres in and getting them warm. I stopped the lap before so when you came out the pits (4.7secs ahead) I had the better tyres and caught you on that lap. I think I was 1.8secs behind at the line
It was 7th I think! I had a decent lead, not used to it. Sounds daft but when someones in front of you you can see corners better etc When your leading its different as its open track. But like I say, i seemed pretty fast and I had a decent lead, knew you'd catch but felt confident id be able to hold you off. Then my rear caught the gravel! You did v well though to get through field, I always end up getting in trouble
As I said, I was being very reserved, last thing I wanted was a penalty (although it wouldn't have mattered in the end) Clipped you a couple of times, if only you could see how hard I was pressing the brake
What I would class as the home GP next... Anyway, its late and I've got some acting to do tomorrow so I'm off to the sack. Night night wing(less)man
I get what you mean about the pit stop now I think Oh no, Not Monza I always do ****e here Sweet dreams chubby cheeks, lots of love And thanks for races!!! XXXxxx
Went for an intentional penalty and caught two cars; two penalties! Not much point in me doing qualifying now
NO! Intermediate so starting from back (21st) is fine I've got pole position time but will drop 20 places
