Exactly you want someone who wants to play for you not someone who has already agreed personal terms with your rivals.

It's probably just paper talks and rumours with Blackburn's owners trying to squeeze more money out of Man Utd.

I kinda agree with kpr although I think he'll be class in a few years; but whether we get him or not, I just love the thought of scrotum nose choking on his whisky when he's told about it...

 

Would be annoying if we missed out on him now (especially to one of our biggest rivals) even though I don't think signing a centre back is vitally important for Man Utd at the moment.

 

I reckon he'll join United,However it will be for a little bit more than the £16 million Man United thought.It means they have less money for other players.So when they sign their keeper,Ashley Young at an outrageous £20 million,they have no money left for the area they need strengthening in..their central midfield.
Which suits us down to the ground.Kenny's not making the mistake of signing players so other clubs can't have them..he's signing for positions.

 

it would be sweet revenge for kenny who had all but sealed Roy Keane to ewood park only for baconface to steal him , but jones asked blackburn permission to speak to man u, arsenal, and us on the monday and was having a utd medical on the tuesday. either he didnt talk to all 3 or our personal terms werent good enough either way he made his bed

 

Our personal terms were higher than United's so I don't think he went for the money.

 

IF (and it is a big IF) reports are true we have as much as £130m to spend on players if needed. Plus some of the money involved in these transfers may be depending on performance and not paid up front. Obviously I'm just speculating though.

 

We actually according to the mail offered him more money and offered Blackburn more money than United did.As did Arsenal.However it seems Ferguson is trying to pull a sneaky one by getting him on the cheap.However Blackburns owners are fuming.I reckon United will land him,but Blackburns owners are going to screw United big time on the final fee.It could according to the mail and other sources go as high as £25 million.

 

Its either going to be a mo johnstone like farce or blackburn will get a lot more beer tokens,i reckon its more beer tokens fo blackburn.

 

I reckon that Blackburn will get more cash.
However that weakens Uniteds chances of signing the central midfielders they need.Which is wonderful for us and the others.

There is apparently a clause in his contract that means offers of £16m and over have to be accepted but Blackburn's owners are disputing this and want more money. Sneeky bastards.

 

owners are thick as ****. they seem to think that 16 mill will just enable clubs to be able to talk to jones regarding a transfer, then a seperate amount to actually sign him. they must think this is baseball. daft ****s.
