Beat Dortmund away and L'pool home (who I think are a better side than United) anyway. Chelsea in the cup was a strange one, I was disappointed at the time but somehow I think we lost the match before it had even started by playing Bendtner up front.
I'm not criticising him and if anything you've underlined my point! We know how good he is, he's just not there yet. Same goes for Theo returning from his long injury and Jack is starting to show what a regular run in the squad can do for you. As I said I know Cazorla will get his form back and we'll be able to sit back and salivate at the sexy football.
Cazorla will hit form sooner or later, I regard him as our second best player in the team. He has some serious skills and we still haven't seen the best from him. Add to the fact that it's a World cup year, the guy will try his utmost to hit some form.
With our current form I suspose it's hard for Cazorla to slot straight back into the team to regain match fitness
Chelsea game was meaningless, we'd have to be extremely unlucky with injuries to be reduced to playing that team in the league
To answer the question, no, we're not going to win it, maybe next season if we spend big again in the summer, this season we're coming 3rd. Chelsea are all but certain to win it, Citeh's away form will hurt them.
Which Chelsea? Because if its the Chelsea that we've seen so far this season I fail to see how they are all but certain to win it.
You can win the title but I think you may need to add one (quality striker) in the window. The games against Man C and Chelsea will be real barometers.
We were on top of that game against Dortmund and were unlucky to lose it, we then went and beat them in their own back yard. The Utd game was a strange one for us, we had players out with Flu and probably most importantly Mert who was missing who would have beaten RVP to the ball he scored with. Second string outfit in the League cup doesn't really count. So none of those games are really an indicator of our form. As for City and Chelsea, we need at least a point from each to keep them below us
I'm shouting for you boys (& girls) This is the most open title race for years & if you can keep the consistencey & not choke, then you have as good a chance as anyone in the top 4 Can really see Utd doing it with Moyes. City & the scummers will be your biggest competition. Think Chelsea arent the team they were under Jose and he'll need a bit more time TBH City are a force to be reconed with but you've got the jump on them and its up to your guys to keep putting it in...KeepOzil playing like he has been and anything can happen Good luck. I'd like to see you lot win it
Look at it from a nice statistical view, the end of this season will mark 10 years since the end of the 2004 season, the last time we won it, and so it makes sense, on the 10th anniversary of our unbeaten 2004 season, that we win it in the 2014 season. :-D football's a funny game with these numbers.
Love how people are saying Chelsea or City are definitely going to be 1st and 2nd. This is the same Chelsea and City who've dropped points repeatedly. What crystal ball are people using to know that they'll now stop doing this for the remainder of the season?!
I think it depends on what a pundit's job is. Are they paid to be right, or are they paid to generate interest? Not sure to be honest, probably somewhere in between.
Liverpool have Spurs, City, and Chelsea away this month, lol, poor bastards, so they will be dropping some points.
