    From a few pages back:
I still think he is correct. Need to pick a pairing and stick with it. Otherwise we are left to hope that our attack is world class, as we are going to concede goals vs anyone and everyone. Basically the old Brazil problem.

The midfield wasn't as horrible as you made it out to be. Gerrard made 86% of his passes and was the only one who put in an acceptable shift. The midfield was bad, it wasn't up to standards, but it was great compared to our defense. Toure was simply terrible and Skertl kept making a mess of things. Molby, before the match mind you, opined this would happen because CB is a new partnership every week. The goal for 1-0 defensive blunder - that break shouldn't have become a shooting chance, let alone the deflection, but we can be kind and say that flukes happen. Worse still was the goal for 2-1. It was a massive defensive blunder, it was a halfhearted chance that became a cluster**** and then a goal - Toure on his knees banging his fists into the pitch after the goal is the gif image of that match. 3-1 was going nowhere until, again, the defensive blunders - topping it off with Skertl banging it in.

Sorry but I believe that the midfield is the source of all of our problems and has been for a while. Defence were exposed on a number of times - Lucas and Gerrard are bypassed far too easily. We were playing against Hull - not the champions of Europe. Yet we still couldn't get a grab of the game - no one in the middle thought 'let me dictate the game'. Hull overpowered us. Hull!

Our defenders did make a hash of things in possession but who could they pass to? Only to our full backs - where were our midfielders? They should be dropping deep, moving forward, looking for space, on the move, giving the defenders options. They left so much space in between our players (they weren't the only ones) - no one wanted to go close to one another.

This is only a part of the problem. The defence were poor, don't get me wrong but they weren't help by the shower of sh*te in front of them.

Fair play, these games happen, all of the top 8 have had an embarrassing game, this was now ours. It's important for BR to continue learning from his mistakes, the man is only 40 and remarkably this is his third season in the PL, under the circumstances and all things considered he's doing a decent job, we're up where we want to be but he's had money to spend, he's bought in a lot of new faces and now he needs to focus on getting the results.

I haven't been on since the game so I'm sure there's been plenty of dirty water under the bridge since then. I imagine it's been analysed to death and recriminations meted out to everyone from Sterling to Rodgers to the club's cat, so I won't join in as I can't bring anything original to it.
All I'll say is congratulations to the Hull lads on here, you deserved your win and I wish you well for the rest of the season, apart from the return game, obviously.

We were ****e, undoubtedly, but the measure of our strength is how we bounce back over the next couple of games so let's learn from that performance and put it behind us.
Fortunately we don't have to wait long for the opportunity to put things back on the right track.

Liverpool fans welcome return of utter hopelessness

    02-12-13

SUPPORTERS have applauded Liverpool’s return to comedic woefulness following yesterday’s defeat at Hull.

Protestors outside the KC Stadium had demanded that the Liverpool board bring back the slapstick style of play that fans have enjoyed over the last few decades.

The demonstration was headed by former player and beloved physical comedy performer Djimi Traore, who managed to fall over three times and accidentally set fire to his banner.

Manager Brendan Rogers said: “We rested Danny Sturridge to make sure he stopped his run of scoring goals and Skrtel continues to be the most brilliantly uncoordinated man I’ve ever worked with, so it all went to plan.

“It’s one thing losing to quality teams like Southampton and Arsenal but if we really want to challenge for a bottom-four place we have to be having our arse handed to us by the small boys, too.”

The return of Joe Allen to the side, whom fans affectionately refer to as ‘Like if Xavi had a stroke’, and the continued existence of Iago Aspas, all bode well for Liverpool’s future mediocrity, but most agree that Suarez needs to leave as soon as possible.

Liverpool fan Wayne Hayes said: “He may be an abusive cannibal with a dubious centre of gravity near the penalty area but the way he controls the ball and makes it go in the net just isn’t the Liverpool way.

“Igor Biscan. Jan Kromkamp. Bjorn Kvarme. Now they were proper old-school bags of ****.”

First away game in a few years, what a waste of money that was. Defense bar Skrts (sorry Gerrez) was an shambles. Midfield was crap and up front we were useless. Credit to Hull though, they dug in for that 2nd half. Their support was fantastic too.

I think not.....our only defeat this season was away at City.

We've only lost 8 of our last 60 league games, we're unbeaten at home in a full year & we've finished ahead of you for the last 2 seasons.

Plus, if I can't have a laugh at you lot after you've been bummed at a side who've not scored 3 goals in a game for beards, then it's time to find a new pastime.....

To be honest, get to the end of both and it's all a big mess and you get a feeling of slight disappointment though.

Fair point about Liverpool this season too. We haven't beaten any of the top sides yet.
