    Care to elaborate?

My opinion: I'd rather be Hull City Tigers than slide back to mediocrity, or have another owner that doesn't have Hull at heart.
I don't want to change the name or the badge, but I haven't got £70 million to buy my say.

And the banner fiasco was a distraction in a negative way, and I am sure the players didn't appreciate it. I prefer some class to protesting, and the sight of fans running miles to join in a tug of war was saddening.

I am all for protest, but I have to respect the view of those who dissent and this is becoming a polarised debate that doesn't tolerate those in the middle.

I have a feeling there is much more to all this - mainly involving the stadium, land and council. I have no idea what is going on, though, much as I'd like to know. Posters who keep alluding to knowing more should put up or shut up. The most important thing for me is staying up and getting bigger and better all round. More seats, more points, and more premier league. I still remember being horrified about NB going, but being short sighted is sometimes bad. Change is never popular, until it works!

Yeah and hopefully not send us back to the lower leagues in the process.

You don't get relegated for not changing your name.

A bit like moving to Melton, the name change hasn't happened.

A bit of tinkering around the fringes, but a lot of empty talk as yet...

I don't run a big company and he doesn't wind me up.

I have said all along that the only important vote is the one that takes place in the FA Council. After the Independent on Sunday article the odds on a yes vote are smaller than they were on Saturday.

I still suspect AA is trying to make a point (albeit badly) about needing more cash - and the name change is just a side show he doesn't expect to run for ever??

Well, 1st off, CTWD have no say right now...

What world do you live in? You can't have a democratic referendum every time something upsets a fan, employee or customer...

Yeah but there are a few scenarios that may come out of this mess that may do it. Heres a couple or more and I am sure you can think of quite a few more or variations:

    SB intervenes gets fired.

Mr Allam puts no more money into the club with the result that we do not continue to strengthen

Mr Allam puts the club up for sale. With all the attendant instability. Are you guys in CTWD going to buy it for the few bob that you can put togehter?

All over a name change. Please save City/The Tigers from suicide. Give it up.

And all this for a name

You do talk rubbish at times. We don't want a referendum on what colour boots Robbie Brady wears, we want to be asked whether we mind if he changes our name.

The Premier League rules say he has to consult us. We want that consultation to be a referendum.

FA also. Both FA and PL big wigs were at the KC yesterday. The subject matter in the boardroom would have been interesting for sure.

Assem Allam has said he has no more money to put into the club. We are £11 million over spent already. A striker in January could put that closer to £30 million. Where do you think that money is going to come from?

The name change is about finding that money. Assem Allam thinks the Chinese who won't sponsor Hull City, The Tigers will sponsor Hull Tigers without any research or evidence. He's stood at the roulette wheel and putting what's left of his savings on number 13.

Unfortunately for Assem Allam calling us hooligans and hoping we leave his club will make it more difficult to get the FA to vote yes to the change.

Yes all this fuss is over a name, our name. You want to be called Hull Tigers that's your right, just as its our right to campaign to remain Hull City.

If he sells to somebody richer, who than improves the squad Assem Allam will become yesterday's news, just like Nick Barmby. The king is dead long live the king. Yes we could end up like Portsmouth or we could end up like Southampton or Palace. But why would he sell, after the feeling he got from beating Liverpool?

Problem is they think AA is solely to blame when it takes two to tango. So they don't care.

Sell him the land, and the stadium

    Let him make it 35k

Let him build a sports village, and maybe a hotel, maybe a shop, casino?

He'll soon forget changing the name. This is all a sideshow?

He could not even if he had but why should he ? FFP rules dont allow club owners to insert lots of wonga into the club anymore. Hence why he wants outside investment and in time his money back. Dr Allam is doing it correctly.

Oh yes, the little matter as you say of a striker or 2 in january - improved acadamy grounds and status also have to be paid for.

    Sigh.

No one is denying that it's his legal right to change the name <doh>

I am - it isn't his legal right to change the name.

He can request to... very different.

But where do you draw the line? If you wanted a referendum on ticket price hike? would that be ok or unreasonable? Should we have a referendum on kits? like some clubs do?

If it wasn't for the FA having their own law, you'd have no case as all it'd be is an "I want vs I want" argument.

and to be honest, if this rests on the FA and they have rules in place in your favour, I'm not sure why CTWD had to be created (as imo they've only made things worse) . If the FA have the final say then why could everyone not wait for them to make a decision before grabbing the pitchforks and the torches.
