Oh right. I mean they shelled out a **** load of money to sponsor us, I don't know what everybody's gripe with them was. I wonder who's in the running to take over? Will it somebody like Arco or Smith and Nephew? Or a big multi-national corporation like Toys 'R' Us? Or maybe Kelloggs, and we could change the name of the KC to the Frosties Bowl.
The didn't shell out **** loads of money, they paid a paltry £1m for three years, one of them in the Premier League, it's possibly the worst deal in Premier League history.
Yeah it was mentioned a few weeks ago, but we did have the option to take up another year and we obviously haven't. Or we did and they've had it. I don't quite know. They're gone anyway.
Tommy - wasn't this year the 'optional' one which they chose to extend and we tried to get out of, unsuccessfully?
I'm not sure, but I have a feeling you're right. I seem to remember NTnot being happy about the arrangement and trying to wangle out of it.
You have to remember a lot on here appear to not read newspapers or listen to anything, or are incapable of remembering anything discussed on here. Bone regular poster who has plenty to say on here asked the other day if we had ever beaten Liverpool. It is almost impossible to believe there is a City fan unaware of the fact we had never beaten Liverpool until yesterday.
Good news. Hopefully we can get a really good, respected sponsor. Siemens would be great. I dont think Tiger Beer would be good anymore.. its a bit overkill, tiger stripes on the shirt, "The Tigers", Hull Tigers, etc etc... its too much.
I'd like Selco, so we can play their radio advert at the stadium as the players come out. Get it straight from Selco, SELCO! It's where the trade go!
Isn't it on the cards that Siemens will not be setting up the 'Greenport' turbine factory.....the government is pissing about with green energy subsidies and a number of schemes are now being dropped (the last was the Severn Estuary/Bristol Channel Array of RWE). No demand for turbines = no turbine production.
