One kid near me just stood there all afternoon. He's usually quite vocal, but he said nowt and didn't celebrate anything. After watching that, the mind boggles at why so many Liverpool players get picked for England Gerrard was awful Henderson was awful Johnson was awful Moses and Sterling were ****e. Non England connected but Alex Bruce had Suarez in his back pocket.
I'd like to think it was only kids in the south stand clapping Stevie G but it didn't seem to be . Just to be clear he's a scouser and he was playing for the opposition
Henderson was anonymous today, was watching MOTD with Shearer the other week and they were singing his praises, another example of how the so called big teams get preferential coverage over the likes of us, will see if they pin-point Huddlestones and Livermores contributions tonight in a similar way. As for people clapping them again, I think back to when I was a kid and was star-struck watching players I'd only seen on TV, I think some people here are a bit cynical really with their attitudes, so what if they were clapping Gerrard and wanting Suarez's autograph. It could be worse, they could be supporting Leeds and not at the KC at all, thats what used to happen round here not so long ago.
Only why to rectify it is if City stay in the Premier League for a long time. Unfortunately, that might mean as Hull Tigers
Of course artendances go up when you get to the top flight. But we seem to have more who just want to sit and watch fhe match rather than get behind the team. I doubt if those clubs would have insulted their fans by letting sad locals who support another club sit in the home ends in breach of ground regulations either. Especially when our club warns us against buying tickets for home areas for oir away games and bans anyone that clown Corcoran asks to be banned even if not found guilty of anything.
Yeah, not good enough for England for me, although I guess we're not so great these days so maybe he is. Personally, when I look at Henderson and Allen at £15 and £18 million respectively and Thudd at £5 million, who would you pick of the three? Even when you forget fee & wage I'd go Thudd.
The club should pick out all those that clapped Gerrard on cctv and give them a one match ban and if it ever happens again a banning order, sickening, worse crime than bringing in a flare.
I've spoken to a Stoke fan about this and he said they have exactly the same problem as us, local people buy tickets for the games to support the big clubs in the home end and nothing is done about it, so its not just us. To be fair its not the principle of an away fan sitting in the home end that bothers me, I've done it plenty of times when the away end has been sold out or when I've gone with friends who support other clubs, as long as your aware of where you are and respect the home fans I don't see a problem with it. What does annoy me is the type of people that do it at our club, when their local team (which they have no interest in) plays one of the big teams and stops others getting hold of tickets.
Really? As far as i can recall Gerrard never took a corner from that side. Anyway theres nothing wrong in polite applause for the England Captain. This hatred thats developed since Sky took over is ****. Go read some of the old pro's auto biographies. Jimmy Greaves quotes getting an ovation from the Everton fans when playing for Spurs.
