It's a fair point: football is about winning, and Giggs is a winner

Not even been the best player in any of those United title winning sides though. Been a passenger since 2002/03.

    Ronaldo.

Any other suggestion means you're an idiot.

Hes the best player to have ever played in the league. Its that simple.

Agree but Ferguson did not get the best out of him. Jose did and early days but Carlo may get even more out of him.

Even though this thread is about the prem, Ronnie did bit score in his first 18 CL appearances, and that is indicative he was not on top top from under Saffa.

I think he had one amazing season under Saffa, and has had three under Jose

Cantona is the best I've seen. Henry and Ronaldo closely behind.

Also wow at the Lampard digs on this thread, take your heads out of your arses you muppets. Gerrard piss all over Lampard? Get a ****ing grip.

    Lampards miles ahead of Gerrard.

One stood out in a title winning machine, the other once finished second. As premier league players lampard is far superior. Im still waiting to be to what Gerrards done in the premier league.

Have to agree with you UIR.

Lampard made the best of his limited ability to become a serial winner: nine domestic and two European trophies.

Gerrard failed the make the most of his ability and is a serial loser; he hasn't even been good enough to lift his team into a CL spot for four seasons

Ronaldo deserved the Ballon this year. Madrid is the perfect stage for his ego and narcissism. The North West is too provincial and suburban for him. He demands the bright lights 24.7

Don't get me wrong I highly rate Gerrard, alongside both Lamps and Scholes. Trophy count shouldn't be the be all and end all when rating how good a player was/is, Zola didn't win many and I still consider him one of the best Premier League players, I just don't see how someone can think Lampard 'isn't all that' or that Gerrard 'pisses all over Lampard' <doh>.

You don't become a club's highest ever goalscorer and league's highest scoring midfielder by being average.

All day long. Scholes was a great passer and scorer, whereas Keane was a destroyer. A great one, but a destroyer all the same and a creative player always wins out over a defensive player, cause it's a lot harder to do. Vieira edges out Keane because they were similar without the ball, but Vieira a bit better with it.
