Trying to look at this from a completely objective point of view. Spurs v Man United is a staple Premier League fixture - it happens all the time, you can see it every season. Hull City beating Liverpool is an out of the ordinary unique event. So surely you'd pick this over the everyday matches to mix it up and show something different. If Swansea or Southampton had won their matches then fair enough we'd have to compete with them for top billing but ours was the most surprising result of the day - and it was 3-1, not 1-0 so a good few goals to entertain the neutrals.
We're lucky we didn't, those bloody hooligans in the stands were making such a din. How distracting for the players!!

The first goal confused me then, I couldn't remember Brady scoring haha. Meyler's was such a good finish, I don't think he got enough credit off the commentators.
Well done, City. I'm not rabidly anti-Liverpool, but I've become convinced over about the past 18 months that games are starting to pass Gerrard by - in a word, his legs have gone. Fine for free kicks, set pieces, distribution and long-range shooting when not challenged, but no longer capable of dictating the pace and pattern of play. I can't persuade any of my friends or relatives of this, and the media won't have it - SG seems to get a minimum game-rating of 7 however he plays. What I'm actually after is this: does anyone here have access to the Opta Index or any other player-measurement statistics which will tell us how many kms Gerrard covered today, and what the team average distance was ?
Try www.Whoscored.com they have individual player stats available to those not even registered. http://www.whoscored.com/Matches/72...gland-Premier-League-2013-2014-Hull-Liverpool
