He is such an irritating little bugger....if he doesn't start he always seems a little petulant to me, whining and not putting a shift in.

Also, I'm surprised we didn't use all our subs given the fixture list we have. Once the game had gone I'd have taken Shelvey or Vasquez off.

Vasquez didn't get much service, much as Bony has been finding out and what's been pissing Michu off for most of the season. No, the guy isn't ready yet, not surprisingly, he needs time and experience.

As for Citeh not getting out of first gear, what game have you been watching, Phil? We more than held our own first half and they only got on top when our heads dropped. And let's not forget the head start we gave them with that stupid free kick and de Guzman's shocking miss. Throw in the usual referee bias to the big teams in refusing a nailed on penalty, it puts more of a perspective on the game.

no shame in that - matched them in the 1st half and should have gone in level but they overan us in the 2nd like they have to everyone else this season at the Etihad. the quality up front counted in the end but well done to the boys, we went there trying to play our game and we made some decent chances - we can take a lot of positives away from that

You just feel that with Michu in the team he would have bagged at least 2 today. Certainly would have put away de guzmans chance!

Still cant handle set pieces & crosses. And corners are a waste of time for us as we rarely do any good with them, maybe hire sousa back as defensive coach will help too !
Only joking we be ok when full squad back after xmas .

Vasquez is not at this level, and you can play him all season and he still wont score. I don't think Citeh got out of first gear, they let us have the ball knowing we were never going to work their keeper, as for the ref, I thought he did well over all, maybe we should have had a penalty, will have to see on MOTD, but it was never ever going to effect the result!................<ok>

One of the only times I can say that I am not disappointed to have lost 3-0

Thought all but a few individuals played well tonight, for me Pozuelo wasn't quite at the races, tried but made too many mistakes.

JDG, well I have said it time and time again, is not good enough right now, some have said he offers enough going forward to give him a break on his defensive duties, am sorry, but no, was at fault for the 2nd goal as he just strolled back whilst Nasri ran right passed him to score, many times they countered, everyone busting a gut to get back, and there is JDG just strolling, am sorry, its my only criticism of ML, that he persists with this guy, he needs to be dropped as he doesn't deserve his first team place at the moment.

Shelvey was our best player, was great throughout.

Routs and Dyer for me were useless, they came on, and for me, we were worse off because of it, Poz and Pablo offered us so much more. Need to buck up their idea's, ot they will not find themselves picked to start often, tonight coming off the bench after the team have played well, and to come on so poorly, disgusted with that.

Tremmel done well bar 1 or 2 moments, such as the first goal and a silly pass out, but still, saved a few too.

On another day we could have won that game, as for me we were the better team, esp first half, and could and prob should have scored 3 tonight, JDG missed 2 clear chances, and Vasquez, although that was a bit harder as it was under his feet, so not only was he in the process of turning, but trying to dig the shot out.

The commentators on the stream I watched (dean sturridge i think and whoever the other guy was) were so ****ing biased it was beyond, we made a mistake, it was shocking, Man city did something and they were the best thing since sliced bread. I hate big team bias in commentators, I mean Aguero was prob worth more than our starting 11 combined.

Not sure you can say that. It was a penalty IMO and had JDG scored it might have been quite different. The commentators here in the US said that a few times.

I think MC did allow us more space and time with a view to hitting us on the counter. However, had we been more clinical their tactics would have changed and may have opened up more opps for us. Overall, I think we did very well.

Which ever way you look at it, we shipped 3 goals, which is the least I thought we'd do!...............<ok>

Agree with pretty much all you've said. Bringing subs on should result in a step up in effort...quite the reverse for us. They were pretty dull. Shelvey very good throughout, driving forward and willing to have a pop when given the chance....and he can actually shoot!

I was annoyed at De Guzman too, but it should be considered that he created that chance on his own.

It wasnt just a sitter (I believe that is what you call it?) that was handed to him.

Whether he created the chance or not, he still missed a sitter, an open goal, with just the keeper to chip, he's bloody useless and was responsible for the second goal too! When Laudrup moves on to greener pastures, he can take him with him!......................<ok>

jesus some of you need a reality check. Matched them did we??? dragon is right they could have gone up a gear anytime but they didn't need too. Go back and read past games post match thread and the same excuses are always given.."the striker didn't get any service" "Or this player is rubbish" Well lads i agree so why has laudrup not done anything about it?...There was a time before laudrup messed about with the team that the strikers were getting plenty of service and we were beating the so called bigger sides. I cannot believe you cant see the change in us yet you all are saying what is wrong every single game and still dont blame the real person who makes the team play this way. ..You will still be saying the same things until the end of the season because you're to coward to say it's laudrups fault even though you see it game after game. Well there are plenty of us that can see the wood through the trees and are not afraid to say it and id rather that than deluding myself into thinking we are doing good...we never matched man city we were never even close...

We have won just 4 premier league games in 4 months? That's just 1 game a month? things need to change big time, or we are going to be swallowed up at the business end of the season, where our players don't do well historically anyway! Clearly the Europa League is taking it's toll, I can see now why Newcastle struggled at the bottom last season, and they have a bigger squad than us............... <ok>

And it's at times like this, that we can ill afford to carry any player, especially De Guzman.

JDG: In fairness there was a bobble just before he hit it. I've said before if you've played the game you can understand how that would have an effect. His error was going for power, not placement. But it seems to me that when fans have it in for a player they ignore the good stuff and pounce on the misses.

    Ivor:

"As for Citeh not getting out of first gear, what game have you been watching, Phil? We more than held our own first half and they only got on top when our heads dropped. And let's not forget the head start we gave them with that stupid free kick and de Guzman's shocking miss. Throw in the usual referee bias to the big teams in refusing a nailed on penalty, it puts more of a perspective on the game. "

Spot on. <applause> Most City fans on the forums have acknowledged all of the above.
