Worst we've played this season. Shaw, Ward-Prowse, JayRod, Osvaldo, Morgan all very poor today. You can't face teams like Chelsea with half the team off-form.
Well I think the last two games will have been a bit of a reality check for some. It's a pity we didn't get anything from Arsenal or Chelsea but really there's no shame in losing at the Emirates or Stamford Bridge. If we don't get something from Villa at home, then I'll start to worry.
I don't see that at all. They've all played their part. Chelsea have just showed that they are an extremely good team. We'll get stronger. There will be other days. FT.
Average display, couldn't do much in the second half. Don't think any of our strikers are finished articles.
Disappointing after so much promise in the first half, we just got bulldozed by Chelsea in the 2nd half for want of a better terminology.
Third goal a little soft, Gazza could have done a little better. Hard to be too harsh on that though, it was nicely taken by Ba. Chelsea was just too good today. Boruc and Schneiderlin going out didn't help, but I didn't feel that good even after the first half. After the Rodriguez goal, we never looked very threatening. Battled hard all game, disrupted them with the press at times, but overall it just wasn't enough.
Norwich and Spurs have lost 6-0 away to a top 3 team. We haven't been thrashed by anyone yet.Don't panic just yet.
I agree we shouldn't be too hard on him having to come in as third choice with such little notice, but he seemed very slow to get down to it at his near post. Second goal he had very little chance.
No big deal, You have been on a great run, lost away to Arsenal & Chelsea, it was just unlucky to have these two tough games back to back as how many teams will win at Arsenal & Chelsea this season? or even pick up a draw, not many.
Even then I wouldn't exactly be worried, but I know what you mean. Chelsea and Arsenal have easily been the best sides we've played so far this season. I very much hope Boruc is able to come back quickly and I'd like to see Cork come in for Wanyama against Villa, if only to make sure Wanyama doesn't get suspended for the Man City game.
Mourinho sussed us second half, and Artur and Morgan going off only made his task easier. Fair play to him.
Indeed, no shame in the results although disappointing how we've played, Villa game is pretty much must-win now I feel as the fixture list does not get much kinder. Dani reminds me worryingly of Gaston when he first joined (and really still to this day), I'm not saying he's a flop/overpriced or any of that malarkey, but every time he touches the ball he feels he has to do everything himself to bring that moment of magic to win the game, when in reality he just needs to keep the game simple and let his class shine through. Now we just sit and hope Boruc and Morgan knocks were only very, very minor ones.
If you lot think Chelsea were really good today, then you know less about football than I ever gave you credit for. Chelsea were poor, but won because Saints were ****. How many consecutive passes did we put together in the entire game? 3 or 4? How many times did we give away possession? Loads. How much work did the Chelsea back four have to do? Sod all. Only Fonte & Lovren played to their ability. The rest were way below par.
Definitely a three way title race between Arsenal, Chelsea and City. I reckon Chelsea if they can become more solid defensively.
Give their gaffer his due, he had us sussed out, we had no Plan B, but that was more to do with injuries than planning. I thought the Wizard of Oz had a bad spell.
