Hull fan here. Unlucky for you lads, you just lacked creativity and your 'big' players were off the boil. Suarez's touch wasn't on point and your wingers never took advantage of the space behind the wing backs. That was our best performance in a long time and I'm guessing one of your worst? I still think you'll finish top 6 this season and with a bit of luck top 4. When you have Coutinho, Sturridge and Suarez firing, you can beat anyone. Good luck for the rest of the season.
We were **** and the game showed our lack of depth but Sky is right. No matter how **** we were or how pissed off you may feel, knee jerk reactions are not required. Unless, of course, you genuinely thought we had a better squad than we have? Sure we should be beating the likes of Hull (no disrespect intended) but onwards we go.
You lacked ideas and a bit lackadaisical on the ball. Henderson was missing, Moses and Sterling were absent. Suarez's touch was shocking. Just put it behind you and hope you can bounce back next game. Who is it next?
no it's more that I see now how essential Sturridge has been for us, more so than SUarez and coupled with the news that he is out for at least 8 weeks means I am massively pessimistic for our season
Well we have a couple of games I would still bet on us winning. We just have to keep going and limp to January.
so what is your opinion of today's performance? a blip? or a sign of things to come? or were you expecting it all along and always thought we'd get 8th this season? I can't see how you can't be enraged by our game today, it was so awful and...worrying
Yup, Today merely showed what we all knew before the game began. We have a couple of very good players up front but the rest of our attackers are mediocre. Thank God Moses is only on loan, Sterling should be sent out on Loan but my gut has always said he's not going to cut it. Our midfield, as a unit, just doesn't work. You can swap those 3 around in pretty triangles all day long and it simply doesn't work. We need competition in the FB roles because Johnson should never be able to know he'll be in the team next match after a performance like that. And BR, pick two bloody CB's and stick with them unless injured or so bad they should be shot. As unsavory as today was, it's good to be reminded that we've a long way and yes Fergies 8 players to go before we challenge for anything. I hope we get at least 2 of those 8 in January.
Hull got their tactics spot on. Mark Suarez out of the game with 2 of their 3 cbs and allow the anonymous Sterling and Moses to have the ball safe in knowledge that they won't crate anything. Poor game for us all round and I hope BR has the balls to play Agger and Sakho following the poor displays of both our cbs today. Skrtel did alright but made 2 mistakes and was partly at caught for the 2nd. Play as well as you like but if your mistakes cause 2 goals then you've had a poor game
That was arguably Liverpool's worst performance under BR, and probably BR's most tactically inept 90 mins as Liverpool manager Why on earth did he pick Toure AND skrtel? that was a nightmare waiting to happen. Sterling's off field problems are clearly affecting his on field performances, and as others have said, thank god Moses is only on loan. As shaky as Cissokho has been, it would have been nice to see a left footed player on the left, particularly bearing in mind how awful Moses and Sterling were. Felt sorry for Suarez today
