So let's go silly then with this Modric issue. Let's tell United that Modric is yours if you pay 35million Plus Nani, Tell Chelsea Modric is yours if you pay 40mil plus Drogba, Tell City Modric is yours for 60million. Not that i want to sell Modric because i want our club to show a bit of backbone and ambition for once. Not that i want Modric going to any english club because i would hate to see us facing him in a United shirt..... sickens me!!! But the more this boring issue drags on the more i just want it to be sorted and put to bed. I truely hope Modric gives us one more season and personally i think he will. If next season we don't make the top 4 then i would wish him well and would understand him wanting to go. But if and that's a huge if we can't resist selling him then we should go all out silly to try and fleece these clubs!! So yes United.... I would like 35mil plus Nani please
new here and they blocked my post on same topic...why???? anyway, he is going. it is clear. levy should have the guts to get up and tell us that they are listening to offers or they are not. where is the respect for the long-suffering mugs that we are. another dream fades...
We should just tell them all to **** off. End of story. If Modric suddenly expresses a desire to move after that, then he's clearly been tapped up.
that's what i woould say poll but these quotes from Modric are not helping mate. UIIt always happens with our top players!!!
It's not so much that we will have to run the gauntlet of these "Modric to United" and "Fergie sees Modric as ideal replacement for Scholes" stories; it's the casual assumption that, even if we did want to sell him, which we don't, that we would sell him for as little as £30 million. Harry has said, a number of times, that Modric is irreplaceable. We don't need £30 million. Therefore, even the most dense of lazy hack journos must be able to get it into their thick heads that any serious bidding will have to start at £60 million, at the very least. Because if Moddy is irreplaceable to us, then only a stupidly high sum of money is going to suffice. And even then I am sure that Levy - who clearly has ambitions for us to win the league one day - will not willingly sell Moddy, or any of our other star players. The one thing that seems to get over-looked is the fact that Levy is a man who has a great deal of pride, and that he hates being made to look like a tool before the world's media. The Berbatov affair did just that. SAF and Berbatov conspired to make Levy look like a tool, a man who was there simply to do what others told him to do, a man who had a price and who could be bought. Have we so quickly forgotten how stubbournly Levy held out? How he threatened to leave Berbatov rotting in the reserves rather than be forced to give in to the outrageous tapping-up antics of Ferguson? Does any sensible person believe that Levy will be prepared to roll over for a second time? Relax, my fellow Spurs faithful! Moddy is our player, and he will stay our player.
What will bug me, is if he has done a U-turn since publicly saying this..."It doesn't matter if we don't qualify for the CL, this team will stay together". Bale has committed openly, its about time Luka did the same. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...will-stay-together-even-if-mission-fails.html
