Spurs were the better side and United would have been turned over without Rooney.

I can't see either side getting near top 4 on current form.

The competition for the top 4 spots are extremely stiff this year. I can see Arsenal, Chelsea and Man City in the top 3... as for the 4th spot, that really is up for grabs for at least 3/4 teams, neither of them being Spurs or United....unless both teams get serious reinforcements in January.

I would love it if Everton got 4th. Still think Utd will go on a winning run at some point though

I didn't think there was much in it. Have you been hanging around those Spuds on their board again ? Sounds like something they would say.

Utd will be up there around the top 4, they just seem to be able to find a way to grind out results. Spuds I'm not so sure of though. You'd think they have to get better as they have been utter ****e so far this season and are lucky not to be in the bottom half. But I can't see them finishing above any one of Arsenal, City, Chelsea, Liverpool or Utd.

I think Everton are a good shout for 5th. They play Utd next and I think they'll take them.

This is exactly why I don't see Liverpool in the top 3.

So much pressure on Suarez now after the injury to Daniel Sturridge.

It's not a case of the lesser teams getting stronger, it's more a case of The top teams becoming weaker so the gap isn't as big as it was before.

Hopefully Hull can hang on for another 45 minutes but i doubt it, even though Liverpool have been boring to watch and not very good (Sterling and Moses are doing rubbish) i think one of SUarez or Gerrard will probably grab them a sloppy win.

    It's a bit of both.

Sure there are no English teams like Arsenal '04 or Chelsea '05 anymore but at the same time the middle tear teams (Evertons, Tottenhams etc..) are definitely stronger than they were back then.

Hull have taken the lead. Looking like a great weekend for us so far. Lets hope City and Chelsea will drop points also.

Hull have had some dangerous periods but Liverpool have gone close a few times. Hopefully Hull can hang on for the win but it'll be good even if they conceed and draw. We just don't want Liverpool to get two goals back in the last 15 minutes

There's no chance of City dropping points.
