A third may yet come - De Gea is in goal for my fantasy team. My predictions of Walker scoring the first goal and being undone by a dive have both proven to be correct, after all...
Walker has put in a hell of a shift today. Felt really sorry for him with the penalty after that lung busting run. They are the worst penalties to concede. Not saying it wasn't a penalty but it wasn't like he was going to score. Very frustrating.
Can't help thinking its an opportunity missed but I can't honestly say we deserved to win. So annoying to concede just after Sandro's wonder goal. Still we scored 2 goals which is an achievement in itself!
Except central midfield. Giggs did well on Wed night, but we need a creative player desperately. With the power up front, it's criminal Utd are lacking a quality creative player.
Disappointed, dodgy penalty. Perhaps the free kick that lead to our goal was a little dodgy as well for the same reason. We looked more of a team today. However, a few crosses found no one the other end. Still work in progress. We can probably say we are on the same level as Man U who are having their worst season for over 25 years. Not ideal.
Much better. Especially pleased to see us hitting on the break for the first time this season, not to mention playing some exciting football. Hands up, Chadli was good. But my Dembele factor was also right. Two points dropped, admittedly, but going forward it should help having a plan b. Still don't know if the pen was legit, or should have been disallowed for an intentional foot drag to create the contact. Maybe someone else can enlighten me. Fair result, though. We might have been a hair better. Susan, aka Mrs. RWAEB, insists, correctly, as she has maintained from the beginning, we should have started Defoe, not Soldado.
Thought the Man Utd build-up play was tidy and fast. IMHO there has been a period of the title-winning squad and new manager getting familiar with each other. The recent form guide suggests that period is now over. Whether that period ultimately puts you out of the title hunt, time will tell.
Hey lads, bloody overslept and missed all but the last 20 minutes of the game (I'm GMT - 5hrs). What's the overall verdict on today? I see none of our strikers were on the scoresheet so can I assume the usual tale of Defoe or Soldado not getting service is the case or were they denied clear cut chances? How come United got two penalties???
they only got 1 pen...the first was from a deflection of walker. personally I think it was our best prem performance of the season...plenty of attacking intention...looked dangerous against a good united team...draw was a fair result but the performance imo was everything today so I am a very happy spur today
