Saturday night, Leeds have (by the sound of it - I wasn't there) failed to show up at Blackburn, beat 1-0, nothing unusual there, but hang on, something missing. I know what it is - I don't particularly give a damn. The sky doesn't feel like it's fallen in, what's going on? Surely I can't be...daring to dream? Good attitude, good management, good owners - get in lads, the future's white! MOT.

I know what you mean, Davy. 1-0 away to a fairly decent team. Only 1-0. Ok, we didn't play, but perhaps that's more down to Blackburn having a good day, and us not being allowed to play like we wwant to. A reminder that we're still rebuilding, and that there are other teams out there that can still have their day.

Yep ... I guess the QPR/Burnley/Watford results sort of made our loss look okay ... still, we can't have too many off days like this ... is Varney a Jonah?

I think you're letting Veg off with quite a lightweight comment there, Billy. I can think of far more hateful things to say about him - most of which I've said before. BM should put himself in the team before that tit.

Morning all. A couple of weeks ago, Pugh & Peltier were given a chance. Both took their opportunities & kept their places. Well done them. Varney had his chance yesterday & apparently did nothing. Silly boy.

Next game, Byram will come back & put Peltier on the bench. Pugh might keep his place, but even if he doesn't, he will probably make the bench. If he's fit Blackstock will come back, but Varney may find that he doesn't even make the bench. Really silly boy!!!

He is not silly. He is making good money on zero talent.

Smith and Dom should be in team before Varney. Even Paddy showed more attacking intent than the clueless one.
Varney must train like Messi. I really dont know what BMc sees in him.

Think Brown should start in away games ahead of Mowatt. He's excellent at pressing and closing down the opposition, as he showed at Charlton.
As for Varney, all my positivity evaporated when I saw his name on the teamsheet. Very strange selection.

Fair point Glory, & an interesting idea LiE. Think BMD might just take that idea up. Just might confirm to some of the brainless on another site that Brown still has a role to play.

Good plan. For me, I could never ever ever see anything in Varney. What the hell did McD see to even put him on a subs bench yesterday, let alone play him. Surely our squad not that weak. For me, given the impending cash injection in the club varney must never ever pull on a Leeds shirt again

Got in the stand early yesterday and watched the training warm up etc. They were doing a throw the ball up and the players were volleying the ball at the net.I thought Varney and Smith looked the best two at doing it although the whole team struggled to get many on target.not a lack of effort with Varney,so I will not get on his back,he's just not good enough but that's a squad and manager thing that we have to sort.

So you're confirming what I've always thought about varney, no good tries hard and runs around a lot. Hopefully after January we won't have to suffer any more at the club that are so limited. Can understand clueless warnocks playing him all the time but a little worried McD sees something in him. Maybe he's planning on bringing hunt back and he will look better after varneys had a few runouts

Green and Hunt should never play for us again and then Varney next after them IMO.We've got a fair team if everyone's fit but the squad is still lacking a bit.
