It looked dreadful when he did it, but he played on and played in the next game. Obviously he was considered England fit, but may have flared up and Saints will not risk him.

Unfortunately I think we will lose by the same score. Chelsea have so much quality, I genuinely can't see us getting a result. They were complacent last year and thought we were an easy 6 points. Can't see them underestimating us again, although I think in the home fixture we are worth at least a point.

Chelsea had 'so much quality' against WBA, Newcastle and Basel, to name a few, and they couldn't win those games.

Tend to agree with the above - I don't see us getting anything from this game and 2-0 to Chelsea is how I see the result. I am invariably wrong however in my predictions - so let us hope that I will be consistant today !!

We are more than good enough for a draw...

We don't concede easily, so as long as Artur behaves himself and doesn't forget he's supposed to be in goal not in midfield, we'll make Chelsea, who only have one striker, work hard for anything they get. Of course they're strong favourites, but getting at least a point is not beyond us by any means. I'll go for 1-1, Torres and Lambert.

If you fancy us to score first there are some generous odds around. 12/1 on Jrod or Rickie!

12/1 on either of those two are quite tempting. So's the 11/2 on the Saints win.

My money's already invested in the 1.10 at Fairyhouse though.

Look boys and girls, I've been supporting Saints a lot longer than most on here, that means I've suffered a lot more than most on here and yet I am still confident of at least a draw.
I've supported them boys through thin and thin.

I see a game something like the Liverpool one. We keep stealing from them at the back and score a crafty goal off the back of it (probably from a set-piece won due to the pressure). Chelsea are goaded to push forwards in an attempt to keep their home record and we slot a second in.

You read it here first, 2-0 Saints.

Saints to win 0 - 1. We'll score late though.

Got a feeling osvaldo will start to day. And deliver! 2-1 to saints. Osvaldo opens the coring and JWP gets a free kick in the top corner before Chelsea grab a late consolation.

Still no place for Gaston on the bench. But yay. Lallana, Shaw and Lovren all start.

Also as many predicted, Osvaldo starts with Rickie on the bench.
